Here I thought people wanted to see the pictures, giving them some hope and all. I guess I was wrong. Sorry guys.

Yeah I like the pictures - gets me excited to get my own watch soon! I don't understand why people are being so salty... especially since NOBODY in this forum has had to wait past their delivery window, because the first delivery window hasn't even closed yet! Haters gonna hate I guess

Wondering why your Apple Watch won't ship for weeks, even though you ordered as soon as humanly possible? The Wall Street Journal might know why. Its sources claim that some Taptic Engines (the haptic feedback unit that vibrates your wrist) broke down in early testing, prompting Cupertino to switch suppliers and create a massive-but-necessary logistical headache. From all indications, Apple is pushing many orders to June simply because it expects to get up to speed by then. That won't be much consolation if you're staring at a bare arm for the next month or more, but you'll at least know why you're missing out.

Sucks as I've seen a number of 06ers get updates.

----------

Just different as I've never missed a launch day. Lol. Oh well it will happen eventually, but I get shipments to my house all the time (work from home) and all the UPS my choice updates that ring during the day don't help my blood pressure lol.

My :04:39 SG 38mm was delivered today in San Fran to the person I sold it to (I live in Louisville, KY) It was sold because I went to the Apple Store on 4/12 and tried one on and it was too small. The 42 was PERFECT so I went home and ordered one. Now I'm in the "ships in June" queue and I get to play the waiting game yet again. I really appreciate this forum and all the info coming through every day. Without it, I would've sworn there was something amiss with my first order. I hope everyone will keep the delivery dates coming well beyond the first couple of delivery windows so I'll have a good grasp on when MY watch is coming.

Same here, work from home as well and for the first time in a long time I wish I didn't. Lol!

With all the waiting and all the hate for the long waits my only complaint and only thing I think was a misstep was (IMHO) they should have opened try on appts on the 10th and pre orders a week later. I think things would be been much smoother had they allowed try one first as many many less people would have order only the size and configuration they wanted. I think this would have let them figure out the real demand rather than a demand based on not wanting to miss out on launch day.

I will say that even though my refreshing and forum monitoring has been borderline obsessive lately. This forum has helped. Lol.

Couldn't agree more. All of the templates I found online in the weeks and days before ordering obviously swayed me in the wrong direction. I made a few $$ selling the 38 but I would've rather had the right watch the first time.

My hope is that everything will be smoother the next go round.

They're selling every single one they're making. If someone ordered two, they would have cancelled the other one they didn't want, moving that queue up by one.

I really think that this Taptic Engine article that has been floating around is to blame for the pre-orders being...out of order. The article says that they had to "destroy some watches"...which I can only assume are some of the ones we are all waiting for!

Hopefully, and I don't imagine they wouldn't, Apple will figure out how to fast track a fix to this problem and get them going again. I imagine we will continue to go slowly through these first 10 minutes of pre-orders, and then all of a sudden we will see a huge wave of watches for everyone else.

This is me being VERY optimistic as I ordered mine only a few days ago...

Potentially, but consider if they saw demand and put too many say 38mm in the mix then that actually needed. It could skew the process.

Still doesn't explain the lack of bands, particularly leather loop which has hardly shipped at all. There must be multiple bottlenecks.
