You could very well be right. I was scheduled to get my watch in the last half of May and I received it on the 4th business day after the launch....
It's a little troubling that so many in this thread are still discussing orders in the few minutes after midnight pacific time and haven't got their watches yet. Perhaps there was a "lull" after the initial ordering so I'm not really in line behind 2+ hours of constant ordering, more like 30 minutes of frenzied ordering then a lull and I'm one of the first sleepyheads who got up and ordered the morning of 4/10. Just a theory. I think I've sort of figured out this notation so my order time was 2.5 hours after it started (xx+2:35:18).
I wouldn't be surprised if things start moving faster. Tim Cook said during Apple's earnings call that they were ramping up production with the goal of selling to additional countries in the last half of June. I don't think Apple would start selling to a second wave of countries if they were not able to meet the demands of the first wave by then.
Why do you call the space gray the "Watch of Doom"? Because of slow shipping? I don't think it's the slowest — I'm not sure if any of the stainless steel link bracelets have shipped. Pink bands were inexplicably slow as well....
Of course, we keep hearing that things are moving faster, and that shipping times are conservative (I call BS, Apple) - but I think we're just fooling ourselves. For many of us, this is a dirty 2 month slog to the finish line, end of story. Particularly for the suckers among us (myself included) who ordered a 42mm SG Sport - the Watch of Doom.
