want to be wrong

I really am hoping I'm wrong but I placed my order at 08:03 (UK time went on sale at 08:00) The store couldn't be accessed initially so I was pretty quick off the mark. Confirmation email for 42mm Space Grey at 08:04:13 with a date of 24/4 - 08/05 a friend of mine was 1 min after and got 4-6 weeks. The initial orders would have been in the first hour. The ones that have gone out today seem to have covered the first 2 mins of orders, with the production dates mainly seeming to be in April, by that logic (and I really don't want to be right) Its gonna be into may before we get our watches as they still have to be made. If every 2 mins of orders adds 2 weeks onto delivery estimates than this seems pretty logical. I really do want to be wrong as I had a face like a wet weekend all day.

Got mine this morning 42mm, ordered 8:02

I ordered SG 42mm at 8.07 and got 12 - 26th May delivery window.

What's doubly annoying is a mate went into local Apple store last weekend and ordered a Sport with white band and was told at the time "July delivery". He received it today!!!

There are 8 chances of getting a standard aluminium Sport Watch compared to the Space Grey model, simply because there are 8 models made with lighter aluminium compared to the 2 space grey models. Apple clearly made more lighter coloured aluminium watches than they did Space Greys.

This would be why more people are receiving their lighter coloured sport watches even after our orders for space grey.

Email confirmation rec'd at 08:04:27 with time frame of 24/4 to 8/5 for SG 42mm. Rec'd AEOD on 23/4. Still at processing. Nothing since. Waiting impatiently. I had a text chat with support gentleman in which he had said it was bedlam upon opening of preorders and unless you purchased within the first minute you were pretty much out of luck for the popular models.

I've not had any movement on my order. I'm assuming they don't do anything over the weekend. Hoping for a Monday morning delivery now!

No movement here. Still on processing. Still not charged. Still pissed off. Don't think it will be Monday. Tuesday at earliest and that's if it is charged and dispatched Monday.

Yes, you're right. I think we're in for a long wait now. Despite ordering in the first two minutes. I think ur will only arrive after the bank holiday.

Had my model favourited, ordered as soon as site was live (8:01 I believe). Confirmation email at 8:04:00 and still processing. I'd have ordered the least popular model and changed the strap later if I'd known!

I'm guessing delivery on Thursday (mainly because I won't be in to take delivery!).

At this point I'm just bored of seeing Processing Items....

I would assume that Apple must know when you are likely to get your watch based on a number of preorders outstanding, manufacturing schedule / outputs and then shipping timescales to the various countries. I'm surprised they need a 2 week window to allow for delays in the supply chain.

If I won't get it until 8th May based on analysis of their own data then just tell me.

I'm guessing this Friday as I'll be on a flight to Spain and won't be home until Tuesday. I so hope I'll be able to get it before my holiday.

Yes, I agree on the relatively long window. I'm sure they could have narrowed it down a little.

got my confirmation order at 8.02 for 42mm SG BSB, mine arrived yesterday. was speaking to a rep at work, he had 2 on order, one for his wife which was a 38mm sport with a white band, scheduled delivery was June but she got it yesterday. Must of been a nice surprise!

Does anyone have any more information? or any status changes on your uk order?

Still only processing. Nothing new to report here.

I hope the Apple little helpers and elves are working hard over the weekend to prepare the orders for monday.

I am still so incredibly disappointed and angry as hell. They are definitely not doing this in the order they received the preorders. Some people are getting theirs and they got a May delivery window!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

My email confirmation time is 8:04:31, which i'm guessing is around 30 seconds after the order was placed.

So far I haven't seen anyone. Although I did drive past some chap messing with his watch and phone so it could be a happy customer.

I really thought if you preordered, effectively sight unseen and got the first delivery dates then you would be taking delivery on launch day.

It's all the unknown elements.
