Looking to get some speakers to plug into the Mac Studio.
Don't need anything fancy, would the HomePod mini be a good option?

Thanks in advance.

Studio Display and AirPods Max, though I am curious how many people use standalone speakers and what type.

For Pro Tools, Logic Pro X and web content:

Mac Studio ----->USB to RME FireFace UCX II -----> Drawmer CMC3 Monitor Controler -------> Dynaudio BM5 MKIII + Rytmik Audio E22 subwoofer.

For music listening with Monitor Speakers:

Matrix Audio X-SABRE 3 (streaming over network with Roon) Unbalanced Outs ------> Drawmer CMC3 Monitor Controller ------> Dynaudio BM5 MKIII + Rytmik Audio E22 subwoofer.

For music listening with Headphones:

Matrix Audio X-SABRE 3 (streaming over network with Roon) Balanced Outs ------> Topping A90 Headphone Amp ------> DCA AEON Noire's + HiFiMan Sundaras + Sennheiser HD660s.

Mac Studio used as Roon Remote.

6.5" powered yamahas are a pretty good deal. They have a couple series at this size any of the prosumer or pro audio are a good value, not too sure on the other stuff.. The HS7s are the ones I have. I like them a lot.

Yamaha Hs7's

Nothing fancy about that!

I'm a Roon user, too.??

Anything that takes 3.5mm input is fine, why complicate things? I use Audioengine A2 with my MBP.

I will use what I have now, the Logitech Z625 THX 2.1 system...

Unfortunately I will have to forgo the optical input & slum it with the 3.5mm jack, thanks Apple...! ;^p

I use passive speakers (Bowers and Wilkins M-1) and a hi-fi integrated amplifier, which is a NAD D3020 v2, which is hooked up via optical audio to a OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock in my home office setup, which I will be replacing the Mac mini M1 with the Mac Studio. Yes, it's expensive setup, but it's probably better than what the Studio Display offers. The amplifier also doubles as a headphone amp too.

I connect my M1 Mac mini via 3.5mm cable to a Cambridge Audio 2.1 channel amp, that is connected to some B&W 606's. Sounds great.
