Picked mine up and Target today. Found it very difficult to get on. I personally would not recommend this case if you have a screen protector. I had a BSE and it lifted the top when I installed. Ended up taking the screen protector off (I was already considering that anyway).

It's O.K. and I'll use it until the Marware Micro Shell Folio comes in and then I'll make a decision.

Got the case at Target tonight and I think it's pretty great so far. It does add a bit of heft compared to the incase magazine jacket I was using. However it protects much better and the micro suction works a lot better than the elastic band on the incase. The only minuses for me would probably be it has no magnet and the Incase is noticeably lighter.

Picked one up for review. Good grief I have SO MANY cases to review!

First impressions are good. It's ugly, but VERY functional.

That's interesting because I had no problems with my screen protector coming off at all.

It was tough to get on, probably took me about 10 minutes (ok maybe 3 but it felt like 10). Overall I couldn't be happier. This is everything I was looking for in a case. I love how it doesn't cover the bezel and has the physical functionality of the smart cover aside from the wake/sleep. Wake/sleep would be nice to have but I lived without it for a year on my iPad 1 so I think I'll be ok.

Typing angle is great, I had no problem using it while sitting on the couch. When I tried a friends smart cover, the damn thing kept collapsing while on my lap. It just never seemed sturdy.

I think the A- score makes sense. The only thing that would have made this better would be if it could be a nice soft brown leather, but I know that would have been more expensive. So unless something better comes out, this is my case going forward.

After two days using this case I can only find two cons, one is that when you open the case to use the iPad, I have to clean the screen marks from the suction bar and also the lines where the cover folds leave marks all over the screen.

The other con is that the case adds more weight to the iPad. I was happy with the weight of the iPad by itself but now the case, specially the cover, makes the iPad way to heavy.

I do not think it was that hard to get on.. I slid in one side of the iPad then worked around. Last corner was a little tough but still wasn't that hard.

It does make the iPad a little heavy though.. :(

Yeah the case is ok. the Microsuction works well but it makes the ipad too heavy. I picked one up from Target the other day and plan on taking it back for a return. I'm not all that pleased with it. The back of the case is nice but I'm just not a fan of the cover.

Also, I find it very difficult to stand up the case in a viewing position. It's too top heavy and tips over.

The part of it that covers the iPad itself is nice, I suppose if the heavy cover drives me nuts I could just cut off the cover.

Yeah, the more I use this cover, the heavier it feels to me...

Might go back to the Incase Magazine Jacket.

I noticed it right away when I took it out of the package. It's not that it makes the iPad heavy to the point where it would tire your arm....it just adds weight to the point that it takes away from the ipad 2's slim factor/weight reduction in comparison to the ipad 1.

I received the SLM Skinny Case yesterday and that one barely added any weight to the case which I loved. I may keep that one but I'm also looking forward to trying out the Toblino 2 case when it arrives.

And plus we have the Marware cases to look forward to when they're release in 2043. :)

Since many of you have this case now, would one of you mind posting the weight of the case in ounces or grams? For comparison, the XGearLive Smart Cover enhancer weighs 3 ounces (which is extremely light).

On my shipping scale, it shows 1.88 lbs with my iPad 2 AT&T. So if Apple's specs for my iPad is 1.3 lbs, it adds about 1/2 lb.

My scale is a 50 lb analog scale so I don't know how accurate it is down to the oz but gives you an idea.

8 ounces (0.5lbs) is pretty heavy, but for folks who don't mind the weight, I guess it is okay.

The thing I don't like about the STM and Incase similar cases is the iPad is not fully protected -- the top and bottom edges are fully exposed whereas on the PixelSkin it is covered.

I returned my case today and I went back to the Incipio NGP. What a difference in weight, the front is not protected but I don't have to wipe my screen clean every time I opened the PixelSkin either.

I guess for me, the search for the perfect case continues.

Just got mine today and to be honest, maybe my expectations were high but I'm about to take an Exacto knife to the cover of this thing. As I use it I realize that I miss having the ability to detach the cover like you can with the Smart Cover.

The case itself is excellent. Speck can take a bunch of these cases and just slice off the cover and it will still be a good case.

Tried this for a few days and it provides excellent coverage but

  • the weight is deal breaker. This thing is unreasonably heavy. The cover is so heavy that if you turn it upside down the microsuction cannot support the weight and it flops open
  • The material used for microsuction leaves marks on the screen when closed

Not bad for the price, but going back.

Just picked this up today and I really like it. I don't mind the weight, probably because I'm coming from an InCase Convertible Book Jacket on my original iPad.

I like that it maintains the iPad's slim form factor, and it feels nice in the hand.

Guess mine will be going back too. The micro suction strip will not keep the cover closed. So since I carry my iPad like a book in a vertical position, if I'm holding it the wrong way, the cover just opens and flaps around. So the STM had that annoying flap and this one has micro suction that doesn't hold the cover closed. I guess I'll give the switcheasy canvas a go.

Picked one up yesterday at Target and like it so far. It is a bit heavy but the form factor is there and I like the stand feature (using it now to type this). The micro suction works well and is nice and strong - and isn't leaving marks on my BSE screen protector.

Took a bit to get the last corner on, and didn't mess the BSE up at all. If the FitFolio comes in black I might exchange it but so far I like the case and the protection and utility it provides.

I finally found one at Target and decided not to buy it. The glossy black finish between the black matte finish looked a little less professional than I was wanting. Also as others have said, the cover was heavy and the overall cover added more weight and thickness then I was hoping for.
