Spirit Jailbreak Is Out!

I assume you mean search within cydia?

No good. When I type in 'mywi' into cydia search it comes up with something called 'mywin7 theme'
 
This is the first time I've jailbroken since the release of 3.0. This was so unbelievably simple! About a minute from launching the application to the re-sync with iTunes.
 
It still didn't work, even after restoring. I still get error code c0000022. I have Norton running, does that have any affect?

Ok, I think I got it. I reloaded one of the app sources and that seemed to pull down the package names. It seemed to be missing first time around. Thanks for the tip!

Me too. I restarted phone and it's still not working. It's stuck on the Apple logo now. It's been like this for 8+ minutes.
 
Nothing from Cydia is installing for me? I keep getting errors and things. This is my first jailbreak since the original for my original iPhone so I kind of forget how everything works..

Can someone point me to where I can learn more about Cydia and why it's soo great? I
 
HELP!! I downloaded the new itunes, and changed the settings to windows 98/me but when the phone rebooted the itunes plugin screen came up and then tried to use blackrain and as soon as geohotz face came on the iphone just restarted and the itunes screen came out again. Has anyone else experienced this yet?

Going to try this tomorrow. A little worried it won't work because I upgraded to 4.0 and then downgraded to 3.1.3, but if I try to restore it makes
me go back to 4.0.
 
iTunes not recognized?

Anyone has a trick to force Spirit into understanding that I do have iTunes 9.1 installed on my XP Pro machine? :eek:
 
i have a stock iphone 3gs that came with firmware 3.1.2, i accidently upgraded to 3.1.3, so i couldnt jailbreak before.
will this jeailbreak work if it has never been jb?

also, will i have to restore my phone prior to attempting it?

Yes, it will work just fine on stock 3.1.2 and 3.1.3. No need to restore, unless you're already jailbroken with Blackra1n or Redsn0w.
 
iPod touch 3G with 3.1.3 got the endless spinning pinwheel and required a restore. Afterwards Spirit worked flawlessly.
 
so i did the jailbreak... first time jailbroke no problem... photos were gone so i synced with itunes to recover them... nothing... i though maybe a phone restart... held power... swiped to shut off... when it turned one half my icons were gone.. all the important ones.. phone, ipod, calender, etc.

had to restore and re-jailbreak... right now everything is okay but im afraid to restart...

anyone else have this problem?
 
Done!

I bought a new iPhone literally the day 3.1.3 came out and had a glitch in the jb'ing so I restored it, not knowing I was installing the brand spanking new update with that restore. So I've been without SBSettings and etc since then.

I turned iTunes off, clicked the Spirit app, and a minute later everything was done. That was nice.
 
Worked perfectly when going through Win98 compatibility on Windows 7. Deleted my photos but I'm not really that bothered. Just good to be jailbroken again :)
 
Will this allow to Tether with the latest modem firmware too or will it just jailbreak? 3GS running latest everything. Sorry for the questions.
 
Anyone else having trouble jb their iPad? I restored it to 3.2 and had it jb but its been with a spinning circle for awhile. How long does this process take? I've tried this several times.

JB then get MyWi and you can tether either wireless or usb/bluetooth
