anybody having problems SSHing with the new jb? i keep getting an error saying i'm not jailbroken..
If I jailbreak now, can I just restore my iphone from iTunes in the future, and then will my phone be factory again?
Hi,
I am totally new on JB things.
Basically I just connected mine iphone and run the spirit application.
Once it is done, what else I need to do to get Cydia application install?
Please advise,
Eric
I am too experiencing the same problems some of you are experiencing with the spirit jailbreak. I rest pre my 3GS to have the untethered option and everytime I install something out of cydiathat requires a reboot I am unable to reboot. It just shows the apple logo and it gets stuck there.I try to rejailbreak it 4 times. I am going to. Continue to try again. Any ideas?

Had this happen on my iPad.
Hold down the power and home buttons until phone/ipad restarts and you see the apple logo. From there run the spiritjb again. Hold down the power and home button again until the power turns off. Then press the power button again to turn iphone/ipad back on.
Not a tutorial. But it worked for me.
Okay, im new to the JB world, just got sent my new ipod from apple because last one broke, I know for a fact its a iPod Touch 2G 8GB MC 3.1.3
Read through this thread and see all of you are just using it on your iphone, anyone have any luck with the 2G 8GB MC models?
Please help me
+ Is there any way to delete the JB if my iPod breaks, my last two ipods have had 2 faulty home buttons and im still in warranty.
Yes, just do a restore in itunes and it will set everything back to factory.
Currently I'm on my 3G running 3.1.2 that is jailbroken. Is it worth it for me to upgrade to 3.1.3 and then use the spirit to jailbreak it. I know that I want to keep my jailbreak and I'm wondering if upgrading to 3.1.3 is worth it. If I do that then will I be able to keep all of my app settings, app store and cydia?
3.1.3 has nothing of value to 95% of users. Dont spend the time rejailbreaking.
