Any sites that show what the must have apps are from Cydia and howto guides? I just got Backgrounder but have no idea how to use it.

agreed. the only time I ever did a jailbrake was to get PDANet working.

Never messed with any of the other stuff. at. all.

need multiple translations for sbsettings, backgrounder, foregrounder, undergrounder, sidegrounder, overgrounder, WHATEVER MAN :D

Make sure you didn't download the Backgrounder that says (Only 2.x)...get the other one that is made for OS 3.0+.

Speaking of backgrounder...how do I use it? I set it up but how so I open another app while one is already open?

to use backgrounder go into the app you want to background. then hold the home button. itll say "backgrounding enabled" then exit. if its an audio app the music will continue to play when you exit. to disable it do the same thing. open the app and hold the home button to exit.

Does not seem to be working. I hold down the home button and nothing happens.

When I go back to the home screen, I see the little icon next to the app I was just in that says backgrounder was enabled (until I exited the app) but I get no pop up message or anything. Should I reinstall?

Something is off...I opened mail and now it has the icon next to it that its being backgrounded but I cant seem to shut it off now and I still get no pop ups.

after loading sbsettings i can;t fix the weird iphone looking ui. tried restarting twice, may have to reinstall it.

thats weird. I just installed backgrounder and it worked right away. I didnt turn the icons on cause I think they look hideous. I also installed "Music Controls" which lets you control apps like pandora and rhapsody from inside other apps or from the springboard like the ipod controls.

from within the app you hold the homebutton and it doesnt say backgrounding enabled/disabled? did you mess with a bunch of settings in backgrounder? cause Im yet to even enter the actual backgrounder app it worked right away.

for those having trouble downloading backgrounder, stuck at the cancel/queue screen, i restarted my ipad completely, and it worked right away, try it out.

I finally got it to work by changing the activator to Double Tap Status Bar. For some reason it wont work with the Home button settings, very odd.

I agree the icon thing is ugly but how else can you tell if you have something running in the background? I dont want to bog the iPad down with apps running that I forget about.
