So my 3GS is running again, got rid of Rock but now I cant install MyWi...I go to login (already bought the app a while back) and it wont work to log in when I try to ""Purchased Users: Sign In"

By the way, the JB wiped out all the photos on my iPhone...pretty strange.

Has anyone seen the new icon called acvator in settings menu

This is not new. This was present in the iPhone as well, and you probably picked it up by installing backgrounder. This is the dependency backgrounder uses to initiate the backgrounding process.

That was a piece of cake. Worked perfectly on Windows 7, when running the exe in Win 98 compatibility mode.

How and where do you set it to 98/me? I am new to this and I am running vista and i am getting error messages.
I tried several times on a Vista machine (64bit)...finally went back to the beginning of this thread and reread the above post. I had it set to XP Compatibility mode in error. It has to be on 98/me even for Vista...not just Win7.

Never thought I would say this so happily...but I am BROKEN!!

You right click on the Spirit.exe and go to Properties, then click the Compatibility tab at the top, then check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" then select "Windows 98 / Windows ME" in the dropdown, then click OK.

Stupid question but I installed SBSettings...now how do I use it? How to I access the app? And how do I relaunch the Springboard like people are saying to do so it doesn't look like an iPhone UI?

oh wow I can confirm spirit does wipe out the photos. I only had a couple photos I saved to use in an app so its no big deal to me. but to anyone that has extensive photos on your ipad you may want to be aware of this before Jailbreaking.

just jb my 64gig iPad wifi with no issues. Total process took less than a minute including reboot.

I closed every app except for spirit and it worked great.

Something weird though. It installed opera mini and we rule (the iPhone version) along w/ cydia. Hmm

all my photos are still there.

My iPad is successfully jailbroken. I was using a 2007 2.4 ghz 21in iMac running 10.6.3. Downloaded the spirit app directly from the link on page one. Connected my iPad, opened the spirit app and hit jailbreak. Said complete within one second and the iPad rebooted. Had the loading screen with the cosmic space background and then spinning wheel for 2 secs. iPad was then up and running with cydia. Woo now to download backgrounder.
