Has anyone been able to buy MiWi (No Rock) from Cydia? I'm having no luck. It's worth paying for, I just can't seem to do it. In Cydia it says something in super tiny font after agreeing to the terms (I think it says it's only available in Cydia and Rock - I can't zoom).

Attempting to install results in 2-3 403 errors, and a springboard restart.

Just get the one with rock.

Just get the one with rock.

I already paid for the No Rock version previously (for different iPhone) so I think I need the No Rock version, plus Id prefer not to install Rock on the device.

I am getting the same error as the person who posted earlier.

Distraught.

iPhone 3GS (3.1.3) was stuck at new JB loading screen + pinwheel for 10 min.

Disconnected iPhone from Macbook... rebooted iPhone and now just white Apple logo.

Suggestions? Desperate here.

You need to restore the iPad. Do so by going into DFU mode (with the iPad off, hold down the Home button and then plug in the USB cable and keep holding until the iTunes logo comes up on the iPad screen). iTunes will ask you to restore...say yes and wait for it. It may timeout, mine did. I had to get the IPSW off the internet and then do the restore once I had the IPSW restore file on my computer.

When you tried to JB, was iTunes open?

What's the problem with rock? Honest question, I'm not even sure what it is - I just know it was the link that worked of the two.

Rock is another program like Cydia. I remember reading that it can slow down your device...not sure if it's true, but even if it isn't, I dont like having apps installed that I don't use.

The pics of the iPad enabled version of rock look real nice. I've always liked the look and feel of rock more then cydia but they've had some crappy bugs. If they get them worked out I'd use it again.

So installous works, are there many cracked ipas out there?

Honestly can't believe just how quick Spirit worked. From the time I pressed Jailbreak til the time it loaded up with Cydia would have been no longer than 20 seconds. Amazing!

As far as stability goes, is it safe to say the iPad functions the same way, but just with JB'ed apps? How about battery life? Is that affected?

i just installed a cracked app to test from installous.. the app works, it was Sonic 2 BUT there is no logo for the icon.. it's just a plain white icon.. same for other apps i try.. any idea?

One great idea would be to pay for the app. I'm pretty sure it would work just fine then, icon and all.

I get the plain white icons also, I think installous just has to be updated to work with the iPad better.

Don't you need AppSync for cracked apps?

I hate to sound stupid, but in regards to iPhone, does this also unlock the phone to be used on any carrier? I'm hoping to be able to give my wife my iPhone 3GS, but she uses another carrier.
Thanks in advance to whoever may know.

And another great idea would be for you to shut up. I've spent 100's on apps for my iPhone n iPad I download one game and you're getting all moral on me. Give it a rest.

If you want to install via iTunes yes u do need appsync I assume, however if your doing it directly off the iPad with installous then no you don't.

Backgrounder off

Thanks everyone win 7 with win98 c mode worked flawless!

More specific MacBook pro boot camped into win 7 64bit spirit worked on the first try.

What is the trick to turn an app off using backgrounder?

I have absolute radio running while in safari works great now how do I turn absolute radio off?

Go back into the app and do whatever you did to make it start backgrounding (double click home button if you didn't change any settings). You can adjust the settings for what starts/stops multitasking, and one great thing you can do is download ProSwitcher so that you can manage your multitasking windows just like on the palm pre (you can flick apps up to close them).
