iPad spirit jailbreak out!

Or you can read some of the posts on this forum and even in this thread not to install SBSettings since it will mess up your iPad. Hahahha :)

After you install SBSettings, do a respring and your icons will be back to normal

lol oops, didn't read this thread. figured it was safe, the post when you open Cydia says it works fine.
 
sorry another noob question - I clicked to install Backgrounder and I get :the requested mods cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed."

all i can do is cancel/queue - so I queue... do i just wait now?
 
Damn, this just made my 3G iPad purchase unnecessary, could've stayed with the wifi only. Haven't been able to JB my 3.1.3 iPhone 3GS until now. Installed MyWi and it's working great with my iPad. Well, at least I haven't signed up for 3G on the iPad yet. :D
 
Spirit said it worked but my ipad is non-responsive so far, gear just spun for 2 min so I unplugged it, now stuck on white apple. unresponsive, on mac.
 
DO NOT install SBSettings. I just installed and then it reboot my ipad but the springboard is messed up. It shows up like an iphone, with the iphone keyboard and some areas are un-clickable. Restoring now, just a heads up.

Not really...the battery is drained very fast with myfi, you have to juggle two devices and you wont have a real GPS...dont be cheap, spend the extra $130 and you wont regret it.
 
wow that was easy all jailbroken. got home about 5 minutes ago lol. im gonna go easy on apps until I get word that theyve been ported.
 
How is battery life, and overall OS speed affected? The reason I'm holding back on jailbreaking my iPad is due to my fear that it will significantly slow down the iPad.

Same happened to me. Someone said restart again and it should fix it. I had already restored though. Now I'm busy syncing again :(
 
So...I successfully jailbroke my iPhone 3GS but my iPad has the spinning white circle for a while now, what's the deal?
 
Hey does anyone know how long the spirit screen is supposed to have the spinning icon? Im using it on my iphone 3gs 3.1.3 and its been stuck on the spinning wheel for about five mins? Has this been the average time for others? What should I do if it stays stuck? Thanks in advance!

All you need to do is respring. Restarting/Rebooting will not fix it. Respringing will.

Hi, all you need is to get sbsettings panel down and do a respring. Mine was stuck in iphone ui too, I did that and it work.

Happened to me. Put your ipad into dfu mode and restore.

It worked the second time.
 
Now I have the Apple logo stuck on the screen. I wonder if I should try it on my Windows laptop.

The weird thing is that the Spriit App said the jailbreak was complete and it installed the jailbreak on the iPad, I could see the progress bar finish the install.

None of us know what the battery life since Spirit has only been out for less than an hour. It'll take a couple of days before any of us will know for sure.

Slow downs can happen as you use multiple tools at same time, but many people have notice no slowdown using some tools like backgrounder and so on.

You probably don't want to jailbreak it at this moment since there's not a lot of apps for the iPad yet.
