iPad spirit jailbreak out!

Ive never jailbroken my iPhone, but if i JB the iPad, what happens to the apps i currently have installed.

it takes literally 2 min. the ipad reboots and all your apps are still exactly where they were. only difference is you have a new app called "cydia" which is a jailbroken app store. just be careful with what you install from there until all the apps are ported for the ipad.

i feel like a real idiot - every time I click the install backgrounder, there is no Confirm button. only a cancel/queue button. what am i doing wrong?

How did you install backgrounder?

search cydia for backgrounder. choose the one that DOESNT say 2.x only. done.

3G unrestricted works great for the abc app. It is also allowing the better resolution in YouTube but it is much lower to load.

Tried three times now, lol. Still can't JB my wifi 64gb iPad on my i7 iMac. Get spinning wheel on black screen after the purple wallpaper loads. *sigh...*

For people having trouble with their i7 iMacs, I just jailbroke the iPad on my 2009 Mac mini first time, no trouble.

hopefully they port the bluetooth tethering to the ipad. id much rather use mywi thru bluetooth so the phone doesnt get so hot if I dont have a plug nearby.

It's easy. Search for backgrounder in Cydia. Then, install it. If you need to leave an app open in the background, press and hold home button until "Background Enabled" appears on the screen. If you want to close the app, press and hold home button again until "Background Disabled" appears on the screen.

Hi, all you need is to get sbsettings panel down and do a respring. Mine was stuck in iphone ui too, I did that and it work.

How do I respring, I don't have an sbsettings icon and when I search for sbsettings, nothing comes up.

Figured it out, had never installed sbsettings before. Thanks for the tip. Just an FYI, you access sbsettings by sliding finger on status bar.

Is there any hope for me with a Sprint Palm Centro to share it's internet via bluetooth to a Wifi iPad? I have been planning on exchanging the Wifi for a 3g...but getting my Centro to share it's signal would be a LOT better.

WTF...the restore didn't work on my iPad. I put it in DFU, it said it was downloading the restore software and I had the iTunes logo on the iPad screen then after about 10 minutes the Apple logo appeared and its stuck there. In iTunes, its seeing the iPad as a regular device, as if nothing is wrong with it.

Not really...the battery is drained very fast with myfi, you have to juggle two devices and you wont have a real GPS...dont be cheap, spend the extra $490 and you wont regret it.

WhooHOOO!!!! WOW!! Vista ALSO must be run in 98...

To all people getting the c00000005 error on 7, right click on the program and troubleshoot compatibility option and run it with windows 98/me and it works like a charm!

I tried several times on a Vista machine (64bit)...finally went back to the beginning of this thread and reread the above post. I had it set to XP Compatibility mode in error. It has to be on 98/me even for Vista...not just Win7.

Never thought I would say this so happily...but I am BROKEN!!

Ok...my 3GS iPhone is also going whack. I was able to JB it and had Cydia installed, but when I went to install MyWi, I got the spinning circle and was stuck there. I restarted the phone and now it's stuck on the Apple logo.

wtf it was stuck on the pinwheel spinning thing after spirit said it was complete and now im restoring my ipad. wtf how do i fix this???
