iPad spirit jailbreak out!

I just used Spirit to jailbreak my iPad 3G. It took less than a minute with no problems. My experience is with OSX. :D

Its not working on win7 yet as mention in comex twits, try restore then go to 98 compatible mode n JB agin.... :)
 
I got backgrounder working. We tried it with pandora and a game from the app store. and as soon as we loaded the game the music stopped playing. so i backgrounded the game and went back to pandora hit play then went back to the game and its working perfectly.
 
I keep getting the spinning wheel on my iPad connected to my i7 iMac. Am I missing something? Black screen, spinning wheel. No dice. :( Tried twice, and even tried restoring the iPad to do it! Gah!

don't restore - instead, reboot in SAFE MODE via sbsettings (swipe it from the status bar). Then go back into CYDIA - you can then uninstall after you are in safe mode.
 
Ive never jailbroken my iPhone, but if i JB the iPad, what happens to the apps i currently have installed.

Oh, I'm keeping my new 32 GB 3G iPad but I really don't need 3G access too often right now so the ability to save $15-30 a month on data is a nice bonus. And I've already got real GPS on my iPhone so no biggie there ;).
 
This jailbreak is great! I loved the speed of the jailbreak:)
Ive only jail broken my iphone but I've got mywi tethering my iPad, which is what I'm using now!
I'm glad I didn't buy the 3G iPad, this works great! Now if AT&T would just put 3G service in the town I live in:rolleyes:

Had same problem...went into sbsetting and resprung..all good now
 
I will be honest I'm a bit nervous doing a JB, its really as simple as Black Ra1n and how do I manually go into restore mode?

What addy is for Cydia? Its just there in this Spirit thing?

Does Categories work om iPad?
 
backgrounder not working for me

Got backgrounder installed. Can't get it to work no matter what I use to activate, double tap, single tap home button.

How do I get backgrounder working?
