Right. IT'S OFFICIAL. End of argument.
You get two COMPLETE straps.

That's from a chat with an Apple adviser who went away to ask her supervisor for the definite information.
I hope this is true and the sport watch comes with two full bands. To me it makes sense for Apple to do this. The bands probably cost almost nothing to make plus having both sizes in one package makes sense logistically as well. The sport watch is probably going to be the most popular version so putting everything together is one package is the simplest way to go. I for one am looking forward to being able to exchange my unwanted bands for some other colored ones. If this happens I will easily end up with four different colored bands.
4? There is 2 bands in the package not 4.
What he probably means is that he have planned to buy 2 sets of bands.
This. I'm getting an aluminum sport watch with a white band and buying a black sport band as well. I'll trade the smaller two for a larger blue and green.
How come the Watch (not Watch Sport) comes with one rubber band?
If Apple wants to cover the size spectrum with 1 purchase for the Watch Sport, and for 1 purchase of the band by itself, why don't they for the Watch?
Wish the watch version would come with both sizes too.
This whole three-pieces theory has been debunked (a) because Apple has made it clear to me that it's four and (b) because it doesn't make sense for there to be three.
The tongue of the strap threads through the other part. If it's too long, it won't be able to fit all the way round. So the larger size has to have both a larger tongue and a larger top part.
It's simple geometry.
Definately "two bands" for sport watch !
But interestingly apple watch ss with sport band only indicates "a band" !?
Weird.
Shouldn't it be two bands also ?

The guys on the phone or in the chat usually have no clue about stuff like that and can only guess like we do.
A few days ago I ordered replacement feet for my macbook. The guy on the phone told me I would get 4 pieces within the diy kit. In the end I only got 2. (like stated in multiple forum posts)
Wow, just wow. This Apple Watch hoopla gave us a real conundrum. First, they gave us 3 collections to choose from (well, its actually just 2 since none of us will buy the 10k Edition). Not to mention the choice between Space Gray and Silver. After that, we have to choose either the 38mm or 42mm case sizes. Then again, we have to choose which straps. And yet, we have to choose again with either a S/M or M/L.
Folks, we only have 2 wks to really find out the real score about the band. For the record, after I have done pre-ordering my 42mm SS apple Watch with White Sport band I was never presented with what band variant (S/M or M/L) to choose. So I'm guessing it will come with both which is what we believe only comes with the Sport Model.
Ordered the 42mm Sport with White Band. I have an appointment to try on the watch this morning at 10:15AM. I know that I'll need the larger band. I'll def be looking to trade my smaller white band for a larger black sports band.
It doesn't come with 2 complete bands.
You only get 3 pieces, one side with the pin and the other side has a choice of S/M or M/L to give the range of sizes.
