Nonsense. Spotify has 2.5x the subscriber base of Apple Music.Use Spotify still? Are we stuck 5 years ago?
Unfortunately, that is not the world we live in today. Everyone seems to be looking for things to be offended about. What a waste of time...So many people are triggered by Spotify because of their deal with Rogan.
Three words: cope and seethe
Everyone likes a deal, but you're basically stealing the service, have violated the T&C, then complain when they raise prices.VPN yourself to Venezuela and sign up for Youtube Premium. I've been paying like $2 a month for the past 3 years...it's worth it to skip the ads.
Which is actually impressive for Apple, when you consider that Spotify is cross-platform, while Apple Music largely caters to iPhone users, which is still only a small proportion of users worldwide.Nonsense. Spotify has 2.5x the subscriber base of Apple Music.
Apple Music is also cross-platform nowadays (because profits). And given iPhone dominance in one of the biggest consumer, consumption-driven markets it's no wonder actually...Which is actually impressive for Apple, when you consider that Spotify is cross-platform, while Apple Music largely caters to iPhone users, which is still only a small proportion of users worldwide.

Spotify Connect. IMO, is better than AirPlay 2.Why do people use Spotify? I’ve never understood the appeal over Apple Music or other alternatives.
That’ll never happen. Joe Rogan has 14 million listeners. That’s probably more people than you would know in 500 lifetimes. Spotify is doing something right yeah? 200+ million subscribers vs 80 million with Apple?Call me when they have a cheaper plan without that idiot Rogan.
Better UI. Personal preference. Why do you use an iPhone instead of other alternatives? Why do people use Spotify? I’ve never understood the appeal over Apple Music or other alternatives.
Of course, but not all free-tier subscribers constantly or necessarily listen often to music and, therefore, ads. That's why they stick with the free tier.
I think those who steal (I assume you use VPN for this) are the one having 0 brain cells IMO.Even 11.99 is a ripoff. I am paying 2$ for full Family Subscription via Turkey. No problems so far. People paying the full price for subscriptions imho have 0 brain cells and cant help themselves.
Right, and when they are not listening the cost Spotify zero and when they do Spotify makes money. The free tier is a way to get listeners and make money off of them, which is why Spotify offers it. As a bonus, some eventually decide to pay to get rid of ads.
I try Apple Music every once in a while. After all these years their music discovery algorithms are still nowhere near as good as Spotify's. I also find the UI of the Apple Music app very convoluted. So for me the question is: why do people use Apple Music? Why do people use Spotify? I’ve never understood the appeal over Apple Music or other alternatives.
I can’t find a lot of music on Spotify and remixes honestly, you can tell which company pays more to get more access to music and Spotify isn’t itI try Apple Music every once in a while. BTW, at least in the US you can still buy annual Spotify gift cards for $99, which works out to $8.25/month ...
Bingo!Never understood the hate for Spotify as a consumer. Don’t you want options? Free market capitalism is good seeing that it keeps costs competitive. If Spotify went away tomorrow you don’t think Apple Music would raise prices after 200 million people would need to find a new option. Get real.
why are venezuelans charged less? there should be 1 price. it sucks that the usa citizens are subsidizing drugs for the rest of the world tooEveryone likes a deal, but you're basically stealing the service, have violated the T&C, then complain when they raise prices.
Imagine if everyone did this...
Then the salaries shall be the same too.why are venezuelans charged less? there should be 1 price. it sucks that the usa citizens are subsidizing drugs for the rest of the world too
Apple Music is “kind of” cross platform since it has apps for Apple products, Windows PC and Android, however there are a lot of other things like smart speakers, smart TVs, media players, stereo receivers etc. that have Spotify support and not Apple Music. Spotify is definitely more available outside of the Apple ecosystem so that’s why I use it.Apple Music is also cross-platform nowadays (because profits). And given iPhone dominance in one of the biggest consumer, consumption-driven markets it's no wonder actually...
Same. If anything, they should offer a a slightly more expensive plan for people who want more audio book minutes. The audio books feature is way more value added for me than using Audible.I've been enjoying the audiobooks! I think 11.99 is a good price! No complaints here.
Even more iPhone users use Spotify than Apple Music. Spotify supports just about everything - I can natively send it to Alexa speakers, Sonos, Google, my Car.... I get audio books and far superior music curation and recommendations and dozens of features lacking in Apple Music which is still largely reskinned Beats Music with very little innovation and what they are doing not is copycatting Spotify's UI which is also superior.Use Spotify still? The math aint mathing!! I repeat, the math aint mathing!!Priced at $10.99 per month, the Basic option includes all of the music benefits of Spotify like ad-free playback, but without added monthly audiobook listening time.
The $11.99 standard Premium Individual plan that Spotify offers includes ad-free playback and 15 hours of audiobook listening time per month from a catalog of more than 250,000 titles.
Spotify also has a $9.99 per month plan that offers 15 hours of audiobook listening with ad-supported music.
