Spotify Poised to Surpass Apple Podcasts in U.S. Listeners This Year

Is there even any benefit to using the Spotify app to consume podcasts, apart from accessing proprietary podcasts?

The stock iOS podcast app is supported on all Apple hardware, from my iPhone to my Apple Watch to my Apple TV. Overcast has features like smart speed.

What’s the advantage of the Spotify app again?

Apple Podcast seriously sucks and so does most ones out there. The best one I found was Castbox.

I think Pocket Casts is very good.

I wish IOS had a podcasting app like Podcast Addict. When I had an Android phone, that was one of the best Apps I ever used.

looks like Castbox Similar to Podcast Addict. I think I tried pocket cast in the past.

I use Apple Podcasts but only listen to 10-12 different titles in a year, 1-3 different podcasts a week.
I tried using Overcast a couple years ago but was annoyed by the ads, didn't like or dislike it more the apple podcasts, so I switched back.
Do your app likes fall on shows with more episodes, syncing between devices, or what makes these apps special and different?

The user interface. I use Castbox and not Overcast. The user interface is so much more sane to how mind works, the organizatoin of the podcasts, searching...its much nicer and functional for me.
