I guess us Sprint customers won't be getting our tracking e-mail tonight. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.
My acct has an erroneous payment on it, too. But here's the weird part... I made two orders (and paid twice), but there is only one payment on my account bill. And, the item was 399 (64gig) each time, and the order total like 438 with tax each time, but the bill payment on my account is 427. I even called CS and printed off a payment history and both confirmed it just shows as a standard CC payment for 427, just one. Plus my card has only been charged for my two iPhone orders in the amount of 438 each, no 427 or third charge anywhere.
Bank error in my favor?
It will go away after a few days..this is to confirm the payment was processed.

Was it a DM60 or a DM14?
Use the oy-shso order number for correct status. The DM60 is not the order number to use to track the status. I have stated this earlier in the thread. If it's a DM14, that status will remain the same forever due to an issue with Sprint and their website. A tracking number will be posted to the right of your status when it has actually been shipped. If there is no tracking to the right, that means that your order wasn't shipped.

They don't know much because Sprint doesn't tell them anything. They know as much as you know. If you check your status and see the status, what other information do you need? It's pretty straight forward.

So I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 on sprint and it was charged same day i checked my bank account right after and it says i should receive it by the 21st since i did so before 2pm i think thats what the site said.
i pre-oredered at 4am EST about 2 days after i checked my account again and the money was back in my account??!
i go to sprint sign in and check the order number they gave me when i preordered and it still says i have preordered it
was there maybe a mistake? or whats going on why was the money put back in my account?

Don't expect one for another 36-48 hours. It's going to come the 21st if ordered on the 14th by 2:00PM CT for the 16GB, all other models are fine.

You will be charged as the order is completed. Sprint will charge you a pre-auth, which may fall off during the process, but will be finalized as the order is processed and shipped.

No problem.
If there was a problem, the status would update and let you know of the number to call to correct the issue. The status you posted is like most that are all pretty much set, all we need is for the warehouse to start shipping them. The pre-auth random disappearing from your account along with the money back in your account has happened with numerous customers, Sprint will send the final charge as they ship the order though. No need to worry.Wish I could have pre-ordered, Best Buy was packed and I have $235 in rewardzone coupons along with a $50 gift card, I suppose I can wait.

Aww man that sucks. but it will be worth the wait apple products havent let me down so far! And i assume if your one of the first to best buy and you buy it the 21st youd b better off then those who preordered later or had complications and wont be receiving it. or just if any complications come up in general.
Also another question for everyone out there is sprint good about their iPhones? just pondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say id love to here it. im switching from att i hated my huge bill of 100 plus going over my 3gb of data so like 150 lol. but att was good with coverage in Georgia never dropped a call received message late anything like that

Are you saying if there's a charge, not pre-auth, that that means the order has been processed? Does mean its somehow closer to shipping?
My order status shows nothing different. Shows the message about if ordered before 2pm CT.
However they charged my account on 9/15.
When the order was originally placed, they process a pre-auth charge, for pre-orders, the pre-auth may fall off your account due to a period of time that the charge wasn't finalized. As they begin finalizing the order, they will send your bank account the final charge for the order, by then, the order should be close to shipping or has been shipped.
It doesn't mean anything really, just apart of the whole order and payment process.
All that matters is when you originally placed the order. As long as you were before 2PM on the 14th, you're golden.
I pre-ordered from there last year as soon as possible, and they didn't end up shipping my phone until about a week after the release date. And getting status updates from those people was like pulling teeth. Hopefully they'll have their act together this year.
I did the normal Sprint store this time. I wanted to order direct from Apple, but I thought, 'I can probably go to bed, I'm sure they'll still have some when I wake up for work in the morning.' Oops.

Because Sprints system is entirely different. It may be not give excruciating detail but it keeps things pretty simple and to the point. In good time you'll have a tracking number. It's likely Sprint doesnt want to get involved in massive errors like some of our friends with other carriers are experiencing by jumping the gun. I saw one guy who has AT&T that went from "shipped" to "back order".
Me too. I guess that means its shipped. What sucks is that no one will be home the day of delivery (whether it's Thursday or Friday). I don't think ups will be allowed to leave it. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday. I'll try to leave a note for the ups guy
I ordered around 6am on the first day and my bank is showing payment taken out on 9/17. So I'm guessing it will ship today! So close!
