Taxes are estimated during the order process, the pre-auth will show the estimated charge for the order. After everything has been processed and settled, the new charges will be finalized with the correct taxes. Hopefully soon enough.

Can you redirect your package delivery with UPS? I'm planning to do that once I have shipping confirmation.
I got charged on the 16th, but paid with a credit card. Ordered at 7AM on the 14th for a 16GB black.
Also curious about the UPS redirect. When I bought the iPad 3 though fedex, had them hold it at the location and picked it up at 8AM. Hoping to do the same.

I'm still looking for a tracking number. I was getting a little nervous for a 21st delivery date. However, I did speak with someone from sprint and they said the phone was coming from a warehouse in Kentucky. (I live in Ohio) I guess I still have time.
This is my first Apple Phone, I'm super geeked - like a kid at Christmas...
Has anyone else receive tracking numbers...or know of any shipments going out??

Has anyone called sprint to see if the got tracking numbers available? Sometimes the online order status page takes longer to update. I remember i called once for an evo and they had it available. I will call them in a bit to see.

No tracking # either for me. Hopefully they ship out today and we'll see some more info. I'm in OH as well, just across the river, outside of Cincy

but i ordered mines once the sprint website was back up (confirmation email at 3:22CT a little over an hour after live preorders) my phone was charged to my card and my bill for 212.36 so i now have a negative bill of (-$98.49) until sprint add my next bill cycle charge to it in october. i called both customer service and order support and they both confirmed this as correct. still no tracking # same standard shipping status..

same standard shipping status..It is also possible if they overnight the phones starting Thursday, for them to arrive on Friday you won't see a tracking number until mid day Thursday.
I chatted with a rep just now. I was hopeful that I was going to get some actual info when he asked for things like my account pin number and order number and all that, but in the end, the answer was "You will receive tracking in an email once the order has shipped." The obvious follow-up question "When will it be shipped" was answered with "It will be shipped closer to the release day." So I doubt calling will produce any tracking info at this point
Your status will update on the website as soon as there is anything. The reps in the chat can't just magically pull a tracking number out of their behinds if it's not there.

I ordered my phone way before the cut off time on Friday. This morning, I got an email from Sprint, to let me know they changed my order number. This new order number says I ordered my phone today! I'm scared that I might not get my phone on Friday
You'll be fine. It will still go from the original order date.
I think you would need to call Sprint for that, since they are the shipper. I am not sure if that will delay. So i would rather pick it up from the UPS store
Obviously. But people earlier in the thread were saying they were going to call and ask, and I had the time to talk to a rep, so I thought I'd post my results to save other people time.
This same thing happened when I got my 4s a year ago. It kept the same message until early Friday morning when it said it was on truck for delivery. I would say they just overnight them all. Don't be surprised if you don't get a tracking number until Thursday or Friday. My only worry is I haven't gotten a confirmation email but my order number gives me the same message as everyone else is getting, so I'm not overly concerned.
I see Sprint did overestimate the tax. When I was originally charged, it was 220 bucks; now, 215.

But either way if you wanted to redirect your or have it picked up at a UPS store would you have to contact Sprint?
Anybody here got charge for a amount lower than the final one they got?
