The way he is painting it can lead to that confusion but i don't expect it to be that way. You get the discounted rate of $15 a month because you have an old phone that you own to turn in, he does say that. Logically if you take that further out once you upgrade to the next version you no longer have a phone that you own to turn in. So no more discount.

Unless you have another cheap smartphone to trade in.

I also talked to two different Sprint reps who told me that I'm locked into that price for every subsequent upgrade. I know reps can be full of crap though.

Well I TRIED to pre-order a Rose Gold 64GB 6s today but the Sprint website wasn't working well for me. Once I selected a new plan and entered my credit card info it wouldn't let me submit it (it had a red icon to the right with a exclamation point). Tried again to order but after entering my info for the credit check the menus were all empty. After the 3rd time Sprint locked out the credit check (too many times in one sitting I guess). Anyways, I'll try again tomorrow.

Anybody else having issues? I apologize if this has already been mentioned previously.

Why not just call them and order over the phone? That's what I did.

I'm guessing they will close that loophole about "any working smartphone" soon

I don't think that's true. The Sprint CEO said subsidies would still be available for current customers.

Thanks but nothing in that link explicitly states that subsidies will be available after 2015. In fact, the lack of a direct answer makes me believe they won't be.

I'll see what happens when I'm up for contract renewal next year. Easypay is separate from the actual contract so if subsidies are still available, I'll try to do that if possible for iPhone 7. I'm told the EasyPay can be paid off in full anytime and the phone is yours. Not clear if using it wipes away my "upgrade" for 2016 though.

edit: Seems like it does, my upgrade eligibility date is now 9/17 according to the Sprint site. I'll be annoyed if subsidies continue past 2015 but not having to spend $800 out of pocket doesn't feel so bad :p. My contract is only through 9/16 though so I wonder if I have any leverage there

Sprint was a mess last year (6/6+). Sprint was a mess before that (5s/5c). Sprint was a mess before that (5). Sprint could have been a mess with the 4s but I didn't have an iPhone that year.

The website caves every year on launch day within minutes. Unless you have an absolute need to use Sprint's website for preordering, I would stick with Apple's site which can link to your Sprint account/plan/details.
What's up @eyoungren? Long time! I was very lucky this year. First of all I don't obsess. I get it when I get it. I woke up up in the morning and had my order in for one iPhone 6S 128GB Rose Gold for my wife and one iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB in Space Grey for myself. Both phones are slated to be delivered on the 25th.

My iPhone 5 that I ordered the same way actually got here one day before the official launch day. So we'll see I'm hoping for the best but prepared for for the worst.

The thing I'm excited most about is that a huge percentage of the North Jersey area where I live has Spark enabled. I've actually been quite happy with regular LTE and I have no problem streaming music or even videos while the car is moving. Something that a couple years ago didn't work so well. Now with Spark things should get even better.

Peace out!! We'll see what happens come Friday ;)

Copy and paste the order into the top of the browser and then paste into the search. I noticed that mine was messing up the characters when I posted right from outlook

Yeah mine is doing the same. I Pre-ordered the 6s plus space grey 64gb around 5am on 9/12 but when I log in to my account it says that my order is in progress sooooo yeah not sure what's going on.

Be careful anyone who switches carriers by making sure you have to trade in your verizon phone versus a cheap phone. Call sprint to make sure you cant trade in a 4 year old phone you have laying around for anyone else looking to switch. They tried to say they wanted my 6 plus but its not happening ill give them a cheap new smartphone from best buy.

They took my Iphone4 in as a trade.

A couple things....so I see they raised the prices for AC+...also I preordered the 6S Plus 64GB on easy pay, charged the upfront taxes at $70+, but then they changed it to 50 something...anyone else notice this???

Surprised to see so many of us 6sing not 6s plusing on sprint (37 6s Plus, 26 6s)

Curious why you guys went with the 6s. Did you have a 6 or 6 plus before or something older?

I chose the 6s bc a) I have the 6 now and love it and b) I think for me and my average white guy hands 3D Force Touch will be easier to use one handed and all on the 6s.

Ordered 3:20am thru Sprints website, no issues.

Status: Standard iPhone 6s preorder we promise to do our best to deliver by 9/25

Hahaha. It seems like Sprint needs to get its act together. They couldn't even tell me where my phone was going to be delivered. My favorite part is: " We will do our best to deliver by 9/25"

Beautiful. I don't care when I get the phone, but I travel a lot and would like to be able to at least sign for delivery.

You do realize that there are things that are completely out of their control, right? Including Apple possibly needing more phones to satisfy their customers first. Shipments being delayed by anything from storms to the Pope's visit. I'd rather they tell me early on that they'll do their best to get it to me by the 25th rather than say it'll definitely be their and not be able to deliver on that because of a delay.

Setting up delivery for millions of devices isn't as simple as some of you seem to think

Last year I pre-ordered through Sprint and I didn't get a shipping email or the tracking number on the order status page until after my phone was delivered on launch day.

Yeah... Sprint.

Good news, last year they just left both of our pluses on my porch on launch day:eek: No signature

Just got off a chat with sprint...
I've been told that "Once inventory is received, your item will be shipped to the address you provided. An email containing the tracking number for your order will be sent to the email address we have on file. It is very possible that we have already received the inventory at our warehouse however the information is not updated yet. I would recommend checking back tomorrow during a business day as that is when the warehouse would update this information."

I'm doing all right. I'm on the numbered upgrade path (I prefer external redesigns over "S" internal updates) so I did not participate this year. I'm also in a lease on my 6+ so there is that as well.

Be visiting the Apple store today. Managed to crack my screen on Friday so I'm getting it replaced.

Things have definitely gotten better for Sprint in Phoenix. Except for around home. The two towers whose coverage I switch between at work (just by going from one end of the building to the other) have both had power turned up (I've done 12mbps+ down at work now). It's good enough all around that my Android tablet can do Google Maps in follow me mode in the car AND stream my Google Play Music library.

We got two tablets as part of an upgrade promotion when we got our 6 and 6+. Crap Android tablets, but are LTE capable and useful for things like this (my '97 Honda Accord does not have a NAV system :D).

But home is same old same old. Sub 1mbps speeds and there are still places I go that I know I won't get signal or coverage at all, like the Old Spaghetti Factory on Central. I was displeased to see 1x at the table last night.

I'm hoping they get the NDN densification started quickly and finish up NV soon.

Yeah, I'm hoping for an update tomorrow as well.

My order status is back to normal now as of this morning. I'd say we should see an update either tomorrow or Tuesday if any movement will happen. Maybe that's why we were seeing an error because they may be gathering all the first wave of orders. Hell who knows lol.

You make great points. I was surprised they couldn't get their site working for the pre order experience. I

That's good news. I never seem to be able to ever hear the delivery guy... even when I sit next to the door. I often get work through the mail. Fun times in Arlington I guess :)
