The way he is painting it can lead to that confusion but i don't expect it to be that way. You get the discounted rate of $15 a month because you have an old phone that you own to turn in, he does say that. Logically if you take that further out once you upgrade to the next version you no longer have a phone that you own to turn in. So no more discount.
Well I TRIED to pre-order a Rose Gold 64GB 6s today but the Sprint website wasn't working well for me. Once I selected a new plan and entered my credit card info it wouldn't let me submit it (it had a red icon to the right with a exclamation point). Tried again to order but after entering my info for the credit check the menus were all empty. After the 3rd time Sprint locked out the credit check (too many times in one sitting I guess). Anyways, I'll try again tomorrow.
Anybody else having issues? I apologize if this has already been mentioned previously.
PS: My initial order was buying the phone outright and saving my upgrade for next year but I've since learned that Sprint won't be doing subsidies after this year (so I did the EasyPay).
Unless you have another cheap smartphone to trade in.
I also talked to two different Sprint reps who told me that I'm locked into that price for every subsequent upgrade. I know reps can be full of crap though.
I don't think that's true. The Sprint CEO said subsidies would still be available for current customers.

What's up @eyoungren? Long time! I was very lucky this year. First of all I don't obsess. I get it when I get it. I woke up up in the morning and had my order in for one iPhone 6S 128GB Rose Gold for my wife and one iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB in Space Grey for myself. Both phones are slated to be delivered on the 25th.Sprint was a mess last year (6/6+). Sprint was a mess before that (5s/5c). Sprint was a mess before that (5). Sprint could have been a mess with the 4s but I didn't have an iPhone that year.
The website caves every year on launch day within minutes. Unless you have an absolute need to use Sprint's website for preordering, I would stick with Apple's site which can link to your Sprint account/plan/details.
No change in my status bruh.
Update:
My order status now says
We're sorry; the number you entered did not match our records. Please read the tips below, check the number and try again.

Something is happening. Probably the server is down for maintainance.
Be careful anyone who switches carriers by making sure you have to trade in your verizon phone versus a cheap phone. Call sprint to make sure you cant trade in a 4 year old phone you have laying around for anyone else looking to switch. They tried to say they wanted my 6 plus but its not happening ill give them a cheap new smartphone from best buy.
You do realize that there are things that are completely out of their control, right? Including Apple possibly needing more phones to satisfy their customers first. Shipments being delayed by anything from storms to the Pope's visit. I'd rather they tell me early on that they'll do their best to get it to me by the 25th rather than say it'll definitely be their and not be able to deliver on that because of a delay.Hahaha. It seems like Sprint needs to get its act together. They couldn't even tell me where my phone was going to be delivered. My favorite part is: " We will do our best to deliver by 9/25"
Beautiful. I don't care when I get the phone, but I travel a lot and would like to be able to at least sign for delivery.
Good news, last year they just left both of our pluses on my porch on launch dayHahaha. It seems like Sprint needs to get its act together. They couldn't even tell me where my phone was going to be delivered. My favorite part is: " We will do our best to deliver by 9/25"

I'm doing all right. I'm on the numbered upgrade path (I prefer external redesigns over "S" internal updates) so I did not participate this year. I'm also in a lease on my 6+ so there is that as well. What's up @eyoungren? Long time! I was very lucky this year. First of all I don't obsess. I get it when I get it. My iPhone 5 that I ordered the same way actually got here one day before the official launch day. So we'll see I'm hoping for the best but prepared for for the worst.
The thing I'm excited most about is that a huge percentage of the North Jersey area where I live has Spark enabled. I've actually been quite happy with regular LTE and I have no problem streaming music or even videos while the car is moving. Something that a couple years ago didn't work so well. Now with Spark things should get even better.
Peace out!! We'll see what happens come Friday![]()
Just got off a chat with sprint...
I've been told that "Once inventory is received, your item will be shipped to the address you provided. An email containing the tracking number for your order will be sent to the email address we have on file. It is very possible that we have already received the inventory at our warehouse however the information is not updated yet. I would recommend checking back tomorrow during a business day as that is when the warehouse would update this information."

Setting up delivery for millions of devices isn't as simple as some of you seem to think![]()
