Just a reminder from the email I got from Sprint:

Switching phones? Do not turn on your new phone!

First, visit www.sprint.com/activate and follow the instructions to activate the number on your new phone.
If you have any problems, call Sprint Customer Service at 1-888-211-4727 from another phone.

Just FYI! I hope I remember tomorrow. I may just go nuts when I open it tomorrow (or today! yay)

Iphones charge really quick so 2 hours is all you need unless your using it a lot while charging :D one thing I like about them :)
Serious? This is my first iPhone and I can't find any info about charging the battery on the 4S. That's awesome if so.

I don't think there is any but trust me I own iPhones and ipod touch, and is one think that never disappointed me is charging time and how long the battery last

Out For Delivery!!!! As of 1:06am EST.

My iphone lands in Puerto Rico at 7am and gets picked up by my driver at 8am. To later be picked up by me at 10am.

It shipped out yesterday at 10pm with UPS Next Day Air :D

Currently its on a plane from KY to PR

just to be clear, what exactly does "end of day" mean? 7 PM? 8 PM? 6PM??

My driver told me 7pm-9pm (this is due to the fact that if he has some delay he can still deliver the package on the same day)

All of my end of day shipments come at 6-7pm.

I went to my local Sprint store instead. They took down my name for a white/32 and said they will hold it for me until the end of the day on the 14th. Hope this works out smoothly!

The good news: my Sprint store indeed is holding iPhone's for customers who put their names down tomorrow.

The bad news: they called me today and said the initial shipment was only 16 gig models, so I would need to wait for Monday or Tursday's shipment.

I just decided to go online, and I was able to order from sprint.com this afternoon. Already have a tracking number, item is in transit, and scheduled for delivery on Saturday.

I just texted my buddy who loads trucks at UPS to see if he's seeing a bunch of iPhones. He said yes and funny enough he loaded my package onto the truck to be delivered.

FYI is you are a new Sprint customer. I registered a few days ago for Sprint's online service and they already have a payment due for me on November 4. They might have charged me for a couple of days of service that I didn't have the phone so I'm definitely going to call and get that waived.

Im wondering if it will even be possible to activate the iPhones today, its possible that sprints activation system might be taken down by all the traffic, its happened before, i think when the palm pre launched

Out for delivery. YAY!!! The day has come!!!

How much is your bill ?

Only 2 and a half hours away form having my phone!... I just noticed my iphone weighs 1.40lbs while I see everyone elses weighs 1.10 lbs :D

How much is your bill ?

$130

One full month
$36 activation fee
$5 or so in fees for the past day or so when I didn't even have the phone
taxes

I've got a 25 percent employee discount and I set that up the other day but it didn't take effect on this first bill.

Two different packages?

Okay, one more message before I post one with my yet-to-arrive iPhone 4S...

Turns out a package I ordered on Amazon is set for delivery via UPS today too. Curiously enough, it also went through Louisville yesterday (although at a different time), and last time I checked it was at a distribution center about 10-20 minutes away from the one the iPhone got sent to.

The iPhone 4S is due by the end of the day. The other packager is due no later than 3 pm.

So... either both will get put on the same truck and I'll get both packages by 3 pm (would be nice; last UPS delivery out my way was after 6 pm) or two different UPS trucks will stop by today. Either one would be atypical!

If the bill says November it is your October bill, and since you haven't had service for the full month (literately starts today when you receive your device) call in and get some credit.

You are going to have to pay for your usage from oct 14 to November and thats it. also the discount took 2 billing cycles to be applied when I added it.

$240 a month for 5 iphones ;)

the reason why sprint can get their shipments out so fast!

Great video! The dude that actually worked for UPS (guy angled towards the camera, soft lit background) seems like a douche (due to aforementioned angle towards camera, soft lit background).

Well not everyone likes their job hahahaha

here another interesting video but its out dated, it was shot in 2009 and now in 2011 they improved their main hub to process 3 million units a day. They show how a package is delivered using Next Day Air which means in 14 hours. The thing that I just love is the use of technology, I even learned about some machines I never thought existed.
