Yeah, there's no movement on Link watches, but the Sport I ordered 6 days ago just got a ship date before my Link watch.

Ordered mine at 3:02 EST with no change yet either. I was convinced that the Space Black was the one I wanted from the second I saw it. Although I'm incredibly anxious to receive it, I've been reading more and more about the process and have come to greatly admire the time its taking to make these. I hadn't realized that Apple posted on their website that it takes 9 hours to cut out the links for each band, and then hand brushed to make sure the texture is correct. That in itself is incredible. But then I started reading elsewhere about the DLC and the different processes. One video I watched said it took roughly 5 hours to do the DLC on their watches. So we can't know for sure how Apple is doing the process but it makes milled aluminum Apple Watch Sports seem super cheap too me.

I'm bummed that I won't see my watch tomorrow, or even a few days from now, but when I get it and think of all the work that had to be done to it to make it as amazing that it is, I think it'll be well worth the wait. I think we all made the best choice for our watches. These are simply for the true die-hard Apple fans.

Nice:apple::cool:

I find it a little bold of Apple to improve the shipping dates when they haven't even shipped a single one.

Agree but its a good sign that orders at least won't be delayed because thats been my worry. At least I know (or can be pretty sure) that my watch will be dispatched between 12th - 26th.

I don't think Link watches are moving at all, devliery wise. The Sport watch I ordered last week went from "June" to a 6 day (not two weeks like they have been) window starting May 14th.

I hate to beat a dead horse but we all REALLY need to calm down. Apple promised no one a Link watch earlier than 4-6 weeks. That was their word. Just because no one on the forum got one early doesn't mean the world is ending or any other dug up speculation to fill the void. I don't care how much 'logic' one thinks they have seeing other watches ship or not ship, it means nothing. We just have to wait it out till the 13th, and in the meantime be open to the small chance it comes early.

I don't seem to recall anyone saying that the "world was ending". People are a little annoyed and just want to vent a bit. No biggie.

Forgive my rant here...

I've seen several forum posts of Sport owners commenting on their inferior glass displays being better than the sapphire due to the amount of light that reflects off the sapphire being greater than that of the glass.

I mean give me a break. Justify getting your **** watch much?

I also saw a thread talking about public reactions to their watches and it brings my piss to a boil. When are the real apple watches going to get in the hands of customers so we can trump the plastic band ass waste with some DLC love.

Ya, it seems that the Ion-X glass scratches ridiculously easy. There are a few reports already of people scratching the screen on day 1 and not even realizing it happened. And this nonsense about sapphire displays reflecting more light and making the display dimmer is a load of hogswoggle.

Well since every other watch I own has a Sapphire face, I don't think "adapting" to the reflectivity will be an issue.

Just being whimsical, but what if because the link bracelets are on a different level we get better quality control. Maybe even a case that charges or something. Just something to ease all of the agony of waiting. #

I will forgive Apple for late shipment... if the case is a charger :)

Sure glad no one around me has an Apple Watch for me to drool over. The only other person I know that's actually waiting for one is a co-worker in another department, and his is the Space Black SS also. Poor guy has to wait till June though, 1 hour after go-live ordering.

I wonder if these are delayed due to the metal. The silver SS scratches very easily, but since it is bright silver, they do not show that much.

Imagine a black SS scratching. Won't that be much more obvious? I am afraid that the black stainless is going to be scratch magnet.

Remember, the carbon coating will harden the finish. This watch should (if Apple does it right) be the most resistant of the bunch to scratches.

Imagine if it was a black case, kind of like the edition but less plush and refined?

That would be nice and fitting of the premium price over the other watch models. That being said I bet we end up with a white square box like everyone.
