I'm happy it came finally!! I'm female with about a 9" wrist and with the 42 I had to take out 6 links. Now it fits snug.

Huh?? Are they sending these with extra links? I have an 8" wrist. Tried it on in the store and it fit perfectly. When I check on the apple store, it says the range is 140-205mm. (8" is 203.2mm according to google)

9" is 228.6mm (according to google)

So, I'm just curious if they shipped yours with more removable links or if you measured your wrist incorrectly? :) (hoping for the sake of those that need more links it's the former)

What about orders 14 minutes in?

While I am excited for everyone who is receiving their SB SS watch, I am only seeing updates from people who ordered before 00:05am PST. The mobile app didn't support gift cards so I had to wait for the website to come back online. Order confirmation email shows 00:14am PST with vague June shipment window. What hope do I have that my watch will arrive before the end of June... 14 minutes into the pre-order window?

I have a confirm of :21. I was June originally. Now i'm 05/20 - 05/28.
38 mm by the way. Still not expecting it until the end of last week.

Unfortunately, no-one knows. We don't know how the displacement of the orders works out (how many thousands were ordered in each minute). Neither do we know what Apple's schedule is for shipping.

Everyone's hoping that Apple clears the backorders asap - especially with Tim Cook saying that they want to go live with in-store purchases in June.

I'm in the same boat, man. I heard -- this could mean nothing -- that the lunar new year caused slow manufacturing and it should pick up. I'm hoping that's true! I can't wait!

I'll be annoyed if they ship space blacks to retail stores before us

They will come with the all links installed and then you can remove some

Heh, yeah, we talked about that earlier too. That was in February. :)

Umm...you didn't read (or maybe just missed) what I said there.

For whatever it's worth to people waiting in the UK, my bank account was debited late this afternoon, and the order status moved from processing to preparing to dispatch within a couple of hours of that. That's an order for a 42mm Stainless Steel Space Black model. That was placed not long after the order process opened, with the confirmation email received at 8:03am.

I may be wrong on my wrist size but I had to take out 6 links. No they don't send extra. That's why people are talking to others to buy their extra links.
I just checked the apple website and it doesn't look like buying extra black from Apple is offered now

I think that Apple will eventually stock links in the stores (and maybe online as well) that people will be able to purchase. It really depends on the engineering of the bands. If it poses considerable risk of the bands breaking if they get much bigger, then they won't. (as those would be covered under standard warranty).

It's great to see UK getting their orders and others are shipping as well.

I hope they are doing more that one shipment of the SSSB a week though!

I thought the charges for the U.S. were hitting when the planes arrive in Anchorage. There are more flights from China arriving in a few hours.

I've heard that too. But, I've also heard people say it happens in Tennesee.

IDK, who knows. At this point, I just want it to ship and deliver before I leave the country next week. And that window is rapidly slipping. If it doesn't happen tonight I'm losing hope on the week.

Here it is on and the links taken off. They have a cleaning cloth and a cute pouch for the extra links. There are six links I just have them in sets of 2

Yep, it's just that the sizing didn't make sense with you taking links out - not according to the range that Apple had posted on their site. I was hoping that they'll actually accommodate larger wrists than what they posted, for the benefit of those here that have bigger wrists.

All good. :)

Here it is nice and black!!

It was huge on me so it should be ok for most

I've never wanted a $1099 charge on my credit card so bad than right now. Hoping the planes en route to Anchorage have my watch. :05.xx represent.

Regarding extra links, one of MacFormat’s staff mentions in its June issue that, during a fitting, Apple Store staff assured them extra links will be available to purchase a little after launch.

Delivered

Got mine. Beautiful - even if it's not the gun metal grey I hoped for.

Skin directly under the Watch started to sweat for the first few minutes (I'm a bit sensitive to metals) but all's fine an hour in. Came about 70% charged.

So much to figure out but I'm in heavy production today so I'll need to wait till tonight to really get to know this thing.

Again, really beautiful hardware. Unboxing was fun too. Apple does premium like no other. Overall extremely happy.

Rep at UPS told me that last night because even though it said next day it didn't have the delivery day populate in the system yet. She said keep checking and then call back. I did then was told it would have to be attempted once. I just printed and signed the signature release form Apple has and the UPS driver left it!!!:D

I'm also having to do the update to 1.0 1

Dam girl 6? You know what I need:)

Do we know for sure where the charges occur? I have been trying to figure that out and I haven't gotten any conclusive answers. I would have expected them to occur the minute Apple handed them over to UPS in China. But, that's only based on what I know of shipping product at the company I work for.

From what I gather the sit at Louisville until the credit cards clear. Once they are cleared they are released. Those cc that are fraud alerted are put to the back of the list. If fixed fast enough they are shipped if not they have to wait for the next wave of watches received. I would not doubt for one second that Apple has a shopping center at Louisville.
