Yes, you should get a tap. If you test it by sending yourself a text, there will be a slight delay. What you should do is send yourself a text from your iPhone, lock your phone right away, and wait until you receive it on your watch. Don't unlock your iPhone or else you won't relieve the alert on your watch.

You won't get a tap if your watch is mirroring your iPhone settings and you have turned off sound for the alert on your iPhone. So if messages is set not to play an alert sound on iPhone, you won't get a tap on the Watch.

So, quick question, I can't seem to figure out why I can't get the taptic feedback to work. Isn't it supposed to tap you when you get ANY type of notifications? I just got my watch today, setup and everything, and was working fine. I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about testing the taptic feedback though after setup and all of that. I know there's a watch buddies forum, but is there anyway I can add someone from here and you can send me some taps to see if it'll activate the taptic by any chance? Just want to make sure it isn't a problem on my end.

BTW You can add yourself as a contact favorite in the Watch app if you want to practice sending taps or drawings to your watch.

Preparing for shipment!

Mine changed to PFS today. UK 8.03 Order Confirmation - charged around 5pm. Expecting to change to shipped at midnight :) Will post photos when it arrives.:apple:

Guys from the UK, why have none of us seen it shipped yet, it's 11.07 now, surely there's no way we can expect to get it tomorrow now?

Definitely, they usually change around midnight. My stainless steel leather loop changed last week at midnight and arrived the next morning. You'll receive a tracking number at the same time. :apple:

Funny enough I wasnt getting message and email notifcations on my watch and did some searching and found a trick that helped. Went to imessage settings on phone, turned it off. Turned watch off. Then turned imessages back on, restarted phone and turned watch back on and both notifications started working.

Just saying, my sister got the ss blue modern buckle, and hers went to shipped at 10.35. Oh well time will tell I guess

Ah :)

When did yours change to a May date range?

My confirmation was at xx:24, and I still just have a vague "June" window.

42mm, though, not 38mm.

The 38mm is a completely different product in this sense.

I have a 42mm order at xx:07 with the vague "June" still. Ours are not moving to May any time soon.

How much did your 42mm package from UPS weigh? I just got a notice from UPS Choice that I have a shipment to be delivered tomorrow from AI and the package weighs 2.9lbs. My watch is still currently sitting at preparing for shipment, but I'm hoping that my watch is about to ship.

Thanks for any help.

Yeah that's it, I would say that after taking a delivery that is what it weighs most likely

Space Black is;
Case Weight
50g
Band Weight
75g
Total Weight

That could definitely be it!

Thanks for the replies about the weight.

Just got my shipment notification from Apple and that mystery 2.9lbs package from UPS is my watch!

I'm feeling very grateful. As posted earlier, there was a snafu when they charged my card Sunday/Monday and even though I got it straightened out as soon as Apple Store support opened at 4am PDT, my watch didn't ship with everyone else's that have been arriving this week so far. So I'm feeling really lucky that my shipment will be here so quickly.

I'm an :03 42mm order in Texas.

Maybe I should have called them instead of just updating online?? My card was declined at first but I got it updated and got email confirmation of the update Monday morning/night at 12:42 AM. I'm still sitting at Processing even though the new card has been charged. Very frustrating.

Are you still in Processing? When and how did you update your payment information?

Got a good workout in today! This thing is so awesome :D

I'll be moving to the space black owners thread from now on

Yes, still in Processing.

When people started to post late Sunday night that they were getting charged, I checked my status, which changed to "Awaiting Payment." My cc on pre-order was re-issued 1st week of May, and I updated my info with Apple then. After I updated the cc, a sports band order went through (also ordered on 4/10), was shipped and delivered in early-May. I took that as a sign that there would be no problem when the SBSS charge came through. Didn't work out that way, though. I put the new cc info in again on Sunday (about 11 p.m. via a link on their website) as Apple requested, and the cc was charged for the price of the watch within hours. No shipment of the watch though, or any update in status. I've even put through an order for extra watch charging cables through the App Store app (on the updated cc), and that's being shipped/delivered on Thursday. So I'm at a loss as to just what went wrong and why I remain in status limbo. It'll work out, I'm sure, but the wait/delay is frustrating.

Ditto for me. Still stuck in Processing after declined then updated and charged CC, ugh. I'm an :04 order

Uh that's Dr. Ms. Tough guy to you. Smh. Cause only dudes would buy an SS SB 42mm right? Don't get the other women or men started up on assumptions.:rolleyes:

And btw what watch face are you using or haven't you gotten your watch yet? I do have a more generic watch face on my 42 mm SS w CBB. What's on yours?

Haha. I didn't mean to presume! Just teasing. This guy is waiting on a tiny 38mm. I think I'll go with the Jellyfish or classical looking face, whatever that one is called. I hope solar and earth watch faces have more panache when non-static. I like the idea of coordinating the modular face with one's clothing day-to-day.

What about the annoying issue of - Preparing for Shipment, then back to Processing, even when my card has been charged, and didn't decline!

anything short of having the watch in your possession qualifies under the category of "annoying issue"
