Everyone's MMV, but when my wife's SS with ML was to be delivered on the 24th, there was a chance no one would be home. So, we called UPS to see if they could find out exactly where the driver was so that we could figure out to wait or not.

Ha ha..of course they wouldn't do that, but the lady did tell me that because it was shipped Next Day Air (even Next Day Air Saver), that a Saturday attempt is part of that package when the original delivery date is a Friday.

We did leave our house and the UPS driver was coming down the street so we turned around and received the watch, but I feel confident, we would have received a Saturday Delivery attempt.

My watch is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and it is also Next Day Air but someone will be home so it's not an issue..but for those that may have issues tomorrow, there is a chance it could get a delivery attempt on Saturday.

That's different than what UPS was telling people before, so I took a look.

"Saturday Delivery: Saturday delivery service is available for UPS Next Day Air® Early A.M.®, UPS Next Day Air®, UPS 2nd Day Air®, and UPS Worldwide Express NA1 shipments to select major metropolitan areas. It is also offered in major metropolitan areas for UPS Worldwide Express shipments to the United States, Canada, Germany, France, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, and for UPS Worldwide Express Plus and UPS Worldwide Express Freight™ shipments to Canada and the United States.

For Saturday Delivery, you must affix a Saturday Delivery sticker to each shipment. With some services, Saturday delivery is available for UPS Returns® services that have a return-to address in the United States and Puerto Rico. "

So, it's available for Next Day Air, but not for Next Day Air Saver (Saver isn't a guarantee).

So, it's important to check. If you have any of the ones listed above, you may be able to get UPS to deliver on the Saturday (best to call them in advance).

Just put my order in for the 42mm SBSS! It just says July for shipping date now. The wait begins.

Well, in your case, you may just get it in store sooner than that. :)

The rest of us will hopefully have ours by then.

Wow...back on page on Page 159:

U.S. Space Black orders are into the 30-minute mark of orders? I guess my order at xx:10:31 and no change from Processing for a delivery of June. Perhaps I should be the one really upset? LMAO This thread is so full of people whining about not getting their order is bad enough, but then to use false realities is just ridiculous. I haven't seen a single person prove, let alone even claim, that they received an order for a Space Black that was ordered 30 minutes after launch.

I know we all paid a premium for this model, but there are a incredible amount of factors that would delay the shipments for the Space Black model. Even if its not a production issue, it wouldn't surprise me if the decision to produce and assemble the lower cost Space Grey Sport models with higher priority due to making the decision to satisfy the greater volume of customers purchasing these compared to Space Black models. Easier to deal with a few than with a majority.

Besides, this makes our Space Black model that much more desirable and rare.

HURRY UP & WAIT!

They said the stainless steel model (SSb) was at 30 min not space black (SSSB)

Getting so anxious. I'm an :05 order that got billed last night, then went to PFS a couple hours later. I've been stuck there for the past 15 hours or so and am not sure it's gonna ship today so I can receive it tomorrow.

Did we get firm confirmation that watches don't deliver on Saturday? If so, that means no Saturday and no Monday because of the holiday. It's gonna be torture knowing it's shipping and won't get here until Tuesday if that's the case.

Don't worry yet. I think it will start to happen between 4 & 6pm CST. That's when it happened Monday for people who got PFS the night before.

Anyone elses black bands go to PFS yesterday and now they're back to processing? I noticed quite a few of us were charged for that yesterday. Now I'm back to processing -____________________-. This is the worst experience.

I'm guessing you're talking about an additional BSB? Maybe call your local Apple store (if it's close) and see if they have them in already? (seems stores are getting them in this week).

...or you can wait.

From my Apple chat person yesterday, FWIW:

Q: Do you happen to know if Saturday delivery is possible, or is it only Mon-Fri?
A: Saturday delivery is possible, typically it is by business day though.

----------

Wouldn't that mean then there is always a running 24 hour delay? i.e. yesterday's arrival would be hitting its 24 hour mark in an hour.

Yes pretty much that's why you wouldn't get charged till after it gets to Louisville.

Final Post: My wait is over. It's well worth the wait, simply gorgeous!

Yep. I ordered a black sports band to go with my SB. My card was authorized and it flipped to PFS yesterday, but it's back to Processing now.

My order page shows shipped at least (almost 18 hours after PFS), but no email from Apple and the tracking number for UPS isn't in their system yet. I added it to the Deliveries app anyways so I can find out when it's expected to arrive as soon as it updates in the UPS system.

It's getting real. :) I'm so close I can almost feel it on my wrist. And since I never went to an Apple store to try one on, this is very exciting. :D
