Stainless Steel Space Black Shipping Status

I might have delayed my watch being impatient. I chose to pick up at UPS Store and on the page after I confirmed it said June 2nd. I spent an hour. Calling UPS trying to get it changed to normal delivery.

First UPS guy confirmed I had delayed myself a day. Second UPS gal said it was set for "June 1 pending customs clearance".

That's what happens when you become an impatient Noob.

My apple watch will be here JUNE 1 but I plan on opening it June 3rd cause that's my last day of finals. Patience is a good thing in life.

Just opened ups app up and it had an exclamation point on my apple order. Click in it and it's "delayed at export waiting a release from customs" so it looks like the watch wasn't going to get here tomorrow anyway if we were able to do saturday delivery. Anyone else delayed?

yup mine as well, however the date of delivery hasn't changed so I'm assuming this is somewhat standard procedure.. I ****ing hope.

Not being a noob, but not wanting to miss the delivery. My printer is packed so I can't print a release, and UPS here somehow always picks the 30 minutes I'm out of the house to deliver. It's UPS' fault for not giving notice of delivery delays before you confirm a change. There is no logical reason rerouting to a UPS Access Point in the same zip code should cause delay.

Yes, I am in Los Angeles areas.

Funny thing is my Sport Gray came from Louisiana.

Side note...reading and responding to the forum while driving is difficult.
 
Any good screen protectors out there that you folks would recommend me to purchase for the space black?

A UPS store is not a part of their delivery network. If it was going to be delivered on the 1st, and you want to pick it up that morning instead, you need to pick it up at the last hop in their network where they would have loaded it onto a truck to deliver it to you.

If you select a UPS store then it they will put it on the truck that goes to the store and deliver it in the same time that they would have delivered it to your home, and then tell you that it will be available the next day for pickup there.

Not quite. If they delivered it to your home, you could get it any time of day. The trucks do drop-offs at stores at END of day. You're getting it later.

The fastest way is to hold it at the UPS Hub / Distribution Centre (if there's one close). (then you can get it when they open at 7am) :)

Has anyone gotten scratches around the bezel? And if so, has anyone had any luck removing them yet? I only want to try methods proven to work.

For the record, no scratches yet on the sapphire.

That all depends on where you live mine doesn't allow pick up till 9am and I've heard some that you can't do customer pick up till after 3.
I always use the hub because my driver usually comes after 3 and as late as 6 or later at night. I'm at work by then. I don't do the UPS store as it delays it an extra day at my stores (heard all are not like this) and I'm impatient.

If you want to pay the extra 5 bucks you can have 2 hour delivery window and you can pick that window I believe never done it.

Did you read H3rman's account of how he dropped his and bent the case? (He says he's been treating it rough ever since - not a scratch).

Haven't heard of that premium for the 2hr window. What would be REALLY popular is if UPS gave people the option of paying a premium for Saturday delivery (where it's offered of course - most major cities). Not sure why they don't - I know a lot of people would buy it!

I guess that could work. The only issue is that I was looking at that liquid solution from the knife forum on Amazon and it's about $18 (American dollars). That's a lot to spend if it doesn't work.
 
Departed Shanghai at 9:45pm CST, so it should be less than an hour out of PANC on UPS 81.

From there, it should go to KSDF, Louisville, for overnight flights out to their local hubs (like KONT in CA).

and YAY!
 
Flipped to PFS this morning - XX:08am PST order confirmation time. California

Changed to shipped a few hours later.

This got me farrrrrrr more excited than anything I have seen in the internet for a long time.

Come on xx:26 minutes.

Bummer is we are starting to get in the window where I was undecided on the regular ss link and the black. About 10 minutes in the middle of the night I would like to have back.

Just got off the phone with UPS. Cant see anything more than I do (usually they can) but delivery date is still monday in their system. So hopefully it moves tomorrow. Once it hits the states, in 5 hours itll be at the hub im picking it from, thats all i want
 
UPS 81 just landed in PANC. Next flight to KSDF is also UPS 81, in about 2 hrs (1548 AKDT).

For those wondering: PANC is customs, KSDF is the US national UPS hub. I don't believe they break out shipments to KONT (at least they haven't in the past).

Oh, almost forgot. Yay! ⌚️
