Yep, they certainly are!! 🙂 Was showing my Dad's wife today when I was over there for lunch. She was really impressed. Had me put it on her wrist so she could feel the haptic feedback. She was really impressed. I think if they had data plans on their phones they'd likely be opting for one. One of these days I'm sure. 🙂 Dad really thinks it's cool. Maybe when we get Apple Pay up here in November they'll pull the trigger.

Had my first cringe-worthy moment with the watch when I was over there. We were putting a canopy on their deck swing when the frame for it struck the watch *clang*. Winced, looked and breathed a sigh of relief as there was no sign of damage. (Did a closer inspection at home after - nadda - 🙂 )

That would be pretty disappointing. That would mean most of us would get our watches in july 🙁

They shouldn't keep you in a holding pattern long. But, it does appear they don't charge a lot on the weekends...I really do think that's an agreement they have with the banks. (banks do a lot of their own batch processing after hours and on weekends - they won't want batch transactions that could be avoided).
Tomorrow night they should kick off in earnest.

Is being PFS for 48hrs normal? I'm at 24+ now. Just seems odd I've seen a few ups flight 81s leave since I was PFS.

Hey everyone. For you golfers tried the Arccos app and played 18 Holes with the watch on. Neat! However when putting a club back in the bag it dropped and it struck the Watch Faceface! AHHHHH! Whew! All ok!! BTW my replacement watch is marked to ship between Jul 2 - 8 for the bracelet issue. Interesting Apple has me using FedEx for the return and not UPS.

April 14th actually, I had high hopes for this last week, but we only jumped forward about an hour. I guess things could turn around this upcoming week, but we'll see.

I think they messed up and didn't get the rest of the batch you were to be shipped in produced in time, now they're stuck until they get them all processed Sunday night.

Or there's some snafu at the airport and they won't let them load the skids. 🙂 Really, it's just all conjecture without someone on the ground there.

Nope, it wasn't me. Mine shipped the same day it went PFS, but there were a few who waited a while. 5 days? I didn't see that one. That would really suck.

Awwww man! Glad you're getting it replaced, but damn that sucks.
Update for me. Love the watch, man it makes things so much more convenient.

However, I've already removed my link bracelet in favor of the leather loop, and sports band. Link will be exclusive to somewhat fancy dates (Gotta look good you know), business trips (maybe), and every now and then at work.

Keep your fingers crossed guys! You'll all have your watches soon!!

Now I need to set a reminder to buy apple care. Lol

@fischersd I just synced a playlist of 75 songs to my watch!! Paired up the headphones! So awesome!

I put a leather loop on mine today also. Did you place the link back in the box that the loop came in? I have put mine back in that box and I am not sure if it has the clearance. (They package the bands in nice boxes)

Those in the US will be glad to know I was sent a survey by Apple this morning, asking how my online experience was. I used one of the free form boxes to express how poor I thought it was for Apple to lie to their customers in the e-mail on June 4th as well as the Jeff Williams press release. Also listed off all of the stores that members noted had stock the other day as well as that one of the members here had reserved and picked it up.

Why not just set up a reservation at your nearest Apple Store. That's what I did. Went in and got it the same day.

You'll get it earlier. We only had one instance reported that Apple missed the date - the customer called in and Apple was like "wtf is this?!" and got them on the shipment that was being prepared right then. Think they ended up getting it a couple days after their window. Think that was about a month ago.

Well, the US is a little behind in their share of "Apple Love" at the moment. The rest of the world left them in the dust back on April 10th.
I'm pretty sure Apple's going to keep one of the lines dedicated to the 42mm SB's until this backlog is sorted. We know the order density is going down. Should make some big jumps in the next batch.

And, as a few people in the US were charged on Friday, we know that they're doing US batches right now....so Sunday night should be good.

Thursday morning there were some stores that had a few in stock. They were gone quickly.
You need to check store availability right at 8am (and we're not sure if that's 8am ET, or local to each store).
Maybe that was a fluke and they won't do it again until the backfill is cleared, but it shouldn't have happened at all.

I would. If they were in stock anywhere near where I live. No idea why, but they've only been available in a few states like NY, MD, etc. So basically, Apple's created this situation where people who are lucky enough to live in those states get to cut ahead of people who've been waiting literally months for theirs. To make it even more annoying, people who don't live near those states can't even just go buy them in stores, we're forced to wait until July. I know this seems like a first world problem, not a big deal, yadda yadda, but Apple flat out lied and disregarded those who ordered way back.

Sunday sounds right. I was charged on Friday morning and haven't progressed since. I'd assume Sunday sometime these things will start moving. I'm sure more people will be charged Sunday night.
