Just a point of reference: El Capitan might seem like an odd name, but it is in keeping with Apple's Yosemite theme; the two landmarks in Yosemite Valley are El Captian and Half Dome, both of which are magnificent. Hope that bit of information makes their choice of name seem less lame.
I did!!!! I carefully put it in the box that my sport bands came in.
But I'm debating taking it out of there.
I'd hate for it to bend the wrong way.
I'm still up in the air on whether I want the leather loop or not.

When they switched from cats to places, they explained their rationale - places near and dear to their hearts. I figured they had already given Yosemite its due - there are many other deserving places in California as well as throughout the US.
@dillsnufus Can you explain to my why that information is useful? It's the week the internal module was made - not when final assembly took place (though, it's possible both could be the same week if they've exhausted their supply of the internal modules).

I placed my SS band stretched out in the box of the leather loop. From as precisely as I can measure, it has the clearance with the top of the box. (Almost a mm clearance) Not sure how it would go in length wise if you were using all the links. I removed a number of mine due slender wrists. I was just going post the SF photo too. I ordered mine on the 24th of April. I got the email stating that we would get our watches before ARS. Kinda bummed/disappointed at this turn of events. Waiting patiently. Mine says it will ship July 7 - 14th. I am in the US
I'm getting frustrated over this long preparing to ship. I hope you get charged tonight so We all can this nightmare over with

Just got off the phone with an apple rep, I wanted to voice my concerns & see if there was anything the could do. She basically told me that it was nearly impossible that those models were being sold in stores (Okay lol), and that the best I could hope for would be to get lucky and find one in-store near me. When I asked about possibly having the in-store stock be shipped to those of us who actually preordered, she actually told me "Yeah, orders are fulfilled in a first come, first serve basis, we can't do that". First come first serve? Are you ****ing kidding me? It's been nearly 10 weeks since we ordered!
Also, I asked about the 2-3 weeks delivery estimate for new orders vs my current order status of 3-4 weeks, she told me that if you were to place an order right now, it would be delivered between 7/15 and 7/21. So things really aren't looking good for early deliveries for us later buyers (4/13 and on I would assume.)
This whole thing has really sucked a lot of the excitement out of getting the watch. I know I'll still love it when it comes, but man, Apple really could not have messed this up worse.

What's your shipping dates 7/7-7/14? I believe you'll get a week early. Yep, 7/7 to 7/14. Which I was fine with, just not when people are able to walk into stores and get them before people who ordered 2 months ago. Really frustrating that Apple flat out lied to us. Why did we even preorder?
Yea I agree with that. If that was going to be the case pre ordering wasn't needed. But we are in the home stretch so I guess it's coming to an end soon. Do you also have 2-3 day shipping?

Well, I didn't order until April 22 but right now I'm happy if I get it in the window I have been given 7-14 July.
This release is a desaster for Apple who have always been so much better that everyone else on this.
The sad part is that the excitement I felt about the watch is almost gone now. I will probably love it once I get it but right now the excitement is gone. 2 month and still no watch does that... Shame on you Apple!
