Well, not as much as the UK, but they're into May.
Really would have hoped we'd see a lot more charges once it started. Only moved from 8:15 to 9:50 for the US today.

So, here's the current list:

June 15 - MikaelThib - Apr 28 order - (post #8117) - Canada
June 16 - JumpVorginia - Apr 22 order - (post #8167) - Aus
June 17 - chaisin - May 5 order - (post #8263) - HK
June 18 - dpietro - Apr 14 order - (post #8366) - France
June 18 - datdah - May 26 order - (post#375UKSBSS) - UK
June 19 - justsayyesh - +9:50 (post #8539) - US
June 19 - Menopause - May 2 - (post #8548) - Germany

As it seems Apple's pulled a "bait and switch" on those still waiting for their watches in the US, I'd advise all of you to check for 42mm reservation availability tomorrow at 8am when they update the store inventories. (no idea if that's 8am per time zone or what) - I'd start checking at 8am ET to be safe.

Yeah, this is really un-Apple like. I'd be fine with it if it meant those who preordered got first crack at the in store models, but what they've done is basically spat in the face of the people who ordered months ago.

Also, most of us can't go in store to buy them, as it looks like it's only NY, MD, etc for now. So for those of us who don't live near one of the stores that have them, we're stuck waiting weeks while walk in buyers can just go get them right away.

Really disappointed in this whole thing.

Same as you. I wonder if they will ship soon
I wonder if the agreement with UPS and making the shipment of Apple packages a priority prevents UPS from keeping a current update on the status of shipments... the packages could be moving so quickly they can't even be logged in before they're moved to another location...? (just speculation)

That makes sense I hope you're right. I just hope I get an update on it soon.

Hi , I'm back with some bad news , I've had the watch 5 days using it every day under normal use , I've been at home so nothing unusual in the day to day activities , and this morning i noticed this on the edge of the strap,I have contacted apple and they will send some one out mon or tues to collect it then send me out a replacement , so go easy it does mark , and yes the black has come of you can feel the dips in the metal .

@faethflex Sorry, really don't see how it could be that way at all. People are being charged/PFS as watches are allocated to their order. They then flip to shipped when the skid's loaded on the plane.

@Thegrizzlyeagle UPS runs 24/7. People are often amazed how quickly they get things around the globe. Once the "batch" has all been packaged on skid(s), you guys will all flip to shipped and the plane will leave Shanghai.

Then we'll see more charges...same drill.

@mrxloyd So sorry to see that! I think you're the 4th or 5th person to encounter problems with the DLC coating here. I really hope this doesn't become very common!!!

The good thing is, I know Apple's sending these to their engineers to work with their manufacturing partner. I have no doubt they'll find ways to catch these before they ship eventually.

@cmdale101 Thanks for that! I just let the senior editor over at 9to5mac know. Want this to get some press and make the execs over at Apple embarrassed that they've been caught.

@mrxloyd - I see from the pic that your magic pad is on the left. Is that more common in the UK or are you left handed? (thinking maybe it's a fall-back to how we drive - shifter being on the right over here, over on the left over there) :)

btw guys - we should eventually see some signs of wear on our watches, but, if the DLC was done properly, it should take YEARS for the edges to show wear.

Hi , your very observant , I'm left handed ,

I specifically set an alarm to check the online reservation system for 42 SS SB availability in store at 8AM EST this morning. Nada.
That's good that they didn't get a delivery yesterday. I can't see the stores having them any sooner than Tuesday. Unless they get deliveries on the weekends. If they get them at all it would be wrong anyway.

Let's hope they start charging the back log on Sunday so they can start shipping to us on Monday.

I haven't gotten onto "force touch" yet. I wonder when I do if I'll end up replacing my magic pad with one that supports it for "El Capitan" (what a stupid ***** name btw...so many more elegant names that they could have picked).
Force touch on the watch is quite good , should be good on the phone if they do it . . after 5 days of having the watch its already a big part of my life like the iPhone , , I'm pretty used to its functions now . and on average it goes from 6 am to 10.30 pm and still has 40% battery life left ,

Just synced a new playlist to the watch. Time to take that playlist for a walk. :)

Awwww man! Glad you're getting it replaced, but damn that sucks.
Update for me. Love the watch, man it makes things so much more convenient.

However, I've already removed my link bracelet in favor of the leather loop, and sports band. Link will be exclusive to somewhat fancy dates (Gotta look good you know), business trips (maybe), and every now and then at work.

Keep your fingers crossed guys! You'll all have your watches soon!!

Now I need to set a reminder to buy apple care. Lol

@fischersd I just synced a playlist of 75 songs to my watch!! Paired up the headphones! So awesome!

That is a $350 watchband. What do you expect? Perfection?

All kidding aside, this definitely worries me....It seemed that the watchband would be indestructible at that price and it seems that it may have taken all of $5 to build out. This is not Apple quality....I hope that Apple resolves the issues with the high dollar watch accessories!
