I ordered at :01 and it still says May 13-May 27 and no EOD. I'm guessing I'll be getting my watch at the front end of that range.

I got the same email yesterday for my B Sports Band but have not yet had one for my Watch
This EOD is good news that they are at least aware of Space Black Orders...however I have a theory of why some of us have not received this "EOD".
The email states will ship in 2-3 weeks (from today) which is like the Tail end of the May 13th-27th window.
Could it be possible that those of us with 01-03 confirmations did not receive this email because we will be getting it ASAP as in next week the 13th?
I would actually be sort of pissed if I got this email saying it will ship within 2-3 weeks (from today)... I have already been waiting long enough!

Yup. 12:02 PST, May 13th delivery window, and no EOD here. Since the original EOD was sent out just before they started shipping the first batches for launch day delivery (mainly to the people that weren't getting it on the first day, like my mother), I would think it's reasonable to expect our shipments to begin soon. I would expect the fact that some people are getting it and some aren't indicates they already know which orders are getting filled (the people without round-2 EODs) in the first round of Space Black Shipments.

Is it possible your actual order went in before the people with EOD's but your confirmation email just finally came through at 04?
12:02a (U.S. Pacific) confirmation email on 4/10/15, and have not gotten the EOD. Hopefully we are all correct about the theory that those of us with the earlier order times will be in the first wave of the 5/13-5/27 shipping window.

I have a theory too - maybe nobody has received the email. I don't know, but one person claiming they received the EOD in connection with the SS SB isn't enough to get me wondering why I haven't received one. And just to be clear - I'm not saying donc108 didn't receive the email, but I usually wait to see enough comments to indicate an actual trend before I accept that something new or unexpected is likely happening with orders.
So as of now - our theory is...
If you are in the first wave (May 13th-May 27th) and get an email from apple stating 2-3 weeks - you might be on the tail end of this first wave.
But at the same time - getting an EOD at least tells you that Apple is aware your order exists (outside of checking your order status) and history has shown that people have received watches earlier than the EOD time frame.
Here is to hoping that everyone who ordered a space black as soon as they could after store opening (meaning literally was awake at XX:01 and put your order in as fast as you could) gets our watches as soon as possible.
Those of you who ordered way later in the day on the 10th or even several days/weeks later - I hope you get yours soon but it better be after everyone else mentioned in the paragraph above gets shipping info. Good luck

I emailed Tim Cook last night expressing my concern at the lack of reassurance to customer who have ordered the Space Black model, and I got a call from Apple Customer Relations this morning with positive news that the estimated ship dates are on track and that they are doing everything possible to meet demand. I was quite pleased with the response, and the call lasted almost 25 minutes and I got the feeling that they are listening close to what people are saying.

I wouldn't get too hung up on emails and making assumptions. It's all guesses. Just good takeaways there's definitely movement behind the scenes.
So I may be eating my words more quickly than I expected. Looks like a couple of folks in the SS link thread are also saying that they received the "EOD" today.
FYI - I follow both threads b/c I ordered both watches. I ordered both watches b/c by the time my SS SB processed, my May shipping window had already slipped to June, so I ordered the plain SS link as a backup.
