I ordered at :02 and never got such an email.

Despite getting to an irrational level of wanting my new shiny, I'm not even into my delivery window yet. Doesn't stop me from compulsively checking my bank account, this forum thread and my order to find out about any changes haha.

I got preauthorization for my applecare too. My ships and says July soooo idk
 
The AppleCare+ pre-auth for my Space Black showed up on the 20th of April and disappeared by launch day (24th). Don't think it really means anything just they they're making sure an account exists.

Pre-auths have typically not been any indication of anything, from what I have seen. I was pre-authed for both the watch and applecare on Apr 10, and it dropped off a few days later.

Others have been pre-authed at the time of purchase also. Some (fewer) during the Wait-Of-Death and some claim never to have been pre-authed and the first they saw was the full charge just prior to shipment.

My suggestion is to not put any value in it until you see a full charge, but if you want to dance around a little feel free. :)
 
FWIW, "4-6" weeks would technically start tomorrow (two weeks after the initial launch) and EODs went out right before launch on the 24th. So we'll see. In any event, I think the waiting game is almost over for the first batch of pre-orders.
 
Not reading too much in to it. But ordered at 12:05am, got a June date. My Apple Visa rewards card just got a pre-auth for $1. Only Apple has that card. 10 minutes ago when I checked there was no transaction. But just got an alert from Apple Pay of the authorization. Still a June date and no email. But for the last 3 weeks there has been no preauth since the initial one dropped off. Hopeful!

I got an EOD on a 38 mm SS SB I had ordered in the June range so I'm taking it as a good sign. At first I got kind of ticked when I got an EOD that said my watch was shipping in 2-3 weeks when it was my band. And they literally said your apple watch is shipping in the next 2-3 weeks. So bummed when I checked the order number. Then later I got the EOD on my 38mm for 3-4 weeks. So not much of an improvement as it still puts it at beginning of June but I'm pretty pumped to get something. Also nice that at least June doesn't mean end of June.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing...I'm really looking forward to living each day like a normal person instead of having this constant thread of hope that gets smaller and sharper with every passing day. Can you guys believe it's almost been a month since we placed our orders?

6 days until May 13. Seems so far away but it's minuscule compared to the journey we've been through so far.
