I'm not arguing but how is it not? An order was placed electronically for a certain model and type. Simply charge them in order then assign that order a watch. I don't think they have a bunch of boxes with people's names on them and they are just grabbing the ones that are going out and scanning them.

It's because none of the others have. You can argue the why's, but what's the point?

There were lots of :03's and :09's that were charged after the 1:35 guy on the SS LB thread.

This is the reality. The order that people are being updated is random.

To be honest that's not impossible. Could have been boxed up and labelled in China, then just ship pallets to the destination country and start scanning.

It can work both ways, but the quicker way is to label them all in China, then simply scan them and nothing more in the destination country.

I have the slightest feeling that the orders are being fulfilled in a orderly fashion - but possibly defined by it's location.

For example: as of now I haven't seen any Australian order been fulfilled, yet I'm positive that at one Australian order would have been placed somewhere between the orders that are going through now.

If fulfilled in order, but by nation, then as we see here Apple is indeed fulfilling it in order, but Australia won't get it's processing through till Apple get to processing them (and then these orders, in order as well).

...if only people would have ordered in sequence by UPS distribution centre around the world. Oh Woe! Why couldn't people have done this?!

*sigh*

Hmm well good to know.

I feel better knowing that the 04 charge was for the 38mm and not the 42. I don't think they have left the 03's yet for 42mm which is my category.

I guess this makes a lot of sense.

So maybe what we should be saying is that when we see a order processed at a later date - that is the range in which orders have already been fulfilled/of the same batch.

From a technical point of view, the system wouldn't print out shipping labels like a lottery but in order.

Is anyone else picturing that scene from Crocodile Dundee when someone with an a non-SSSBL Apple Watch shows off their watch and then you lift up your sleeve to expose your SSSBL and say, "That's not a watch, THIS is a watch!"? Maybe its just me....

Who am I kidding? I won't be wearing a long sleeve shirt for quite some time once I get my watch. I'm not covering up this beauty.

Obviously you seem to know a lot more about how Apple exactly distributes its products. My assumption has always been that Apple headquarters processes the charges when it's time and that it had nothing to do with a "sequence by UPS distribution centre around the world".

*sigh* right back at you

The point being - none of us know - and we've seen from the other configurations that it IS random (i.e., not in order by e-mail confirmation) that people are being charged.

So, conjecture all you like, it won't change the reality of when people are charged.

We know the first "wave" at least will be in the first batch. Hopefully the ones ordered later will be as well.

XX:03 in the US with no change. Really hope it ships today and comes tomorrow before I go out of town, I'm screwed if it comes Friday.

XX:02 got charged last night, by the looks of it about 1:58 pst

I ordered the space back stainless steel link bracelet 42mm.
