No one who ordered T-Mobile got launch day delivery. I had mine in at 12:03 and I'm the same boat. Evidentially T-Mobile was 1-2 weeks out from the beginning.

My carrier is T-Mobile and my pickup date is Nov. 3rd 8am. I ordered via the website since the app was still not responding. I selected in-store pickup so I could get it earlier than delivery. Both options for me were Nov. 3rd.

To all those saying apple said they will not get their phone on the 3rd and that it's just goes on sale on the 3rd. Then why has there been hundreds of posts in numerous iphone threads stating that Apple will give it's customer a pre-order date of the 3rd. Why is that apple sent out emails stating that customers if ordered quickly would get their phone on the 3rd. There are adverts in papers and magazines stating such, delivery for release date.

Therefore this is not a case of iphone goes on sale on the 3rd but Apple will deliver your phone on the 3rd. If Apple cannot guarantee a delivery date of the 3rd then they should stop with the advertising of getting your phone on the 3rd and tell customers that delivery will be after the 3rd.

The 3rd is the day the phone comes out. Just like any other product released, a date is given as to when it comes out. Nowhere does Apple say "you will get your phone on the 3rd" before you order it. Nowhere.

Let's take another example: movies. All movies have a release date. That is the date the movie first becomes available to view in the theaters. In no way does that guarantee you will be able to see that movie on that date. If it's a popular movie, and you arrive too late to get your tickets (or don't purchase them online fast enough) and it sells out, you won't be able to see it. No one is breaking a promise here. We all understand that. If the disgruntled would-be movie goer then approaches management and starts making a stink about how the movie said the release date was that day, so they must be allowed to see the movie otherwise they're at fault for false advertising ... they'd look like an idiot.

Much like we're seeing in this thread.

I dont think you understand what demand and total amounts of units mean together.
What happens when a store says they will have 1000 bananas at 8am. You get there at 810 and they are all gone. You have to order within time to get the nov 3rd date.
Some people aren't lucky to get in. I noticed that turning off my wifi on my phone at 12:04am finally allowed me to get into the app not sure why.
This isn't apples fault. Its just first come first serve. Cant give you something they dont have anymore of.

I see what you did there. Good use of banana.

You took off work? Why? I set an alarm for 1:55 am. Got up, opened up app store at 2:01. I didn't work the first few times, but before 2:02, My phone was ordered. I got Nov. 3 delivery date. Went back to sleep. Woke up and went to work. Absolutely no reason to not go to work.

I was up half the night. I told my boss what I was up to. I came to work on time the next day. Boss texted me, how you doing? I told him how it worked out. Easy peasy.

If you are looking for a reason to not go to work, I say do it on delivery day, at least so you don't leave the package at the door for someone else to pickup.

[doublepost=1509310336][/doublepost]Had you selected to have it shipped to you, you would have received a 11/10-11/17 delivery window. That happened to everybody who ordered T-Mobile on apple.com or with the app and had it shipped and placed their order in the first 10 min or so. It said 11/3 for me as well, but once the order went through it said 11/10-11/17. I got my order through at 12:03

Odd. My sister got in at 3:02 am EST and got a November 3rd date. She said she initially had the Nov 10th - 17th and then it changed to November 3rd... which is good, because she would be complaining for 2 weeks about it.. Thank you Apple for the upgrade in ship date.

If I'm paying over $1000 for a phone, I expect that I'll get it when Apple PROMISES I'll get it - On their website they specifically say November 3rd. So of course I'm going to cancel a pre-order if they can't uphold their end of the deal.

Carrier is T-Mobile

Really? You are going get all worked up over a 1 week delay over a freaking phone? Well, bless your heart.... you expect to jump into line over people waiting because of your stupidity... you ain't that special.... like allthingsapple!, I set my alarm for 2:45 am EDT, ordered a phone & wireless charging pad, went back to sleep and woke at 7:00 am EDT to go to work. I was happy that I was getting one ..... ok, it was a iPhone 8 plus, but I did pay about $1000 for it...

Yes that’s true, all of us who got the initial 11/10-11/17 date got bumped to 11/3

Wow, I wake up after catching up on sleep today and see that I'm berated for my post and called a troll. Sorry for expressing frustration at being told I'd get a phone on November 3rd, and actually (maybe) getting it in mid-December..

Nobody told you that you'd receive it on the 3rd. The only reason you have to wait until mid December is because you acted like child who didn't get his own way. You only have yourself to blame and if you can't understand that (or the fact Apple "told you" you'd get one in the 3rd), maybe you don't deserve a $1000 phone.

Ugh. The stupid Apple Store App wasn't working... finally I got in, and got November 10th - November 17th. I was pissed, so I canceled the pre-order - Now when I try to re-buy it, I get a 5-6 week shipping estimate?

The worst part is i didn't sleep last night. This is how Apple treats its most loyal customers?

That’s superb, blame your nerd rage on having to wait 5-6 weeks.
