I was wondering if that was an iPad on the table too. Only other thing I think it could be was the bill, but for just coffee? Probably was an iPad!

I really don't think it's an iPad. Given how it appears to be a bright and sunny day and how much light can be seen reflecting off of most other surfaces, the "iPad's" surface seems too matte.

Ya, actually one of the first things that popped into my mind about this is that it was planned to help both companies images and relationship seem better in the press!

Judging by the body language I'd venture to guess whatever it was they were talking about Jobs had the upper hand.

Just because their demeanor is civil does not mean their exchange is.

STEVE: Do you have any idea how badly I wanna kill you?
ERIC: Yes.

Yeah, Schmidt has open and receptive body language in one pic. But in the one with his legs crossed he looks like he is not happy with what he is hearing.

I though steve drove a SLR like a true baller? What is this SL55 crap, what is he a dentist?

side street

I believe this is a side street, not University. Looks like a cafe on Bryant.

Also, Steve wears the same close because he has better things to think about in the morning than what to wear. That's my understanding. Hell, I wear the same thing for the same reason.

He's very into simplicity and minimalism, just look at the way apple products are designed. I think its a conscious choice to wear a simple black turtleneck and jeans, even though he could easily afford any clothes he wanted.

I wear a black shirt and jeans almost every day too!

But...

1: I wear good shoes. Come on steve!
2: Mine fit.
3: Turtlenecks dont look good on anyone.

I agree with others. This is page 1 content for sure.

This supports my theory that all this Google - Apple hate is manufactured to throw off the authorities who were starting to investigate their close ties last year. They both need each other.

Probably not

Neither of them really need each other too much... Google could do perfectly fine without Apple.

Schmidt: Hey Steve, you think a quarter's an okay tip? I mean, it's only a latte.

Steve: Pffft. No wonder you're rich.

Schmidt: (Looks around furtively. Whispers.) All in pennies - so it looks bigger. Yeah?

Steve: They'll count it, dummy!

Schmidt: Okay. I'll hand it to that *other* server, and ask him to pass it on?

Steve: (Sighs. Shakes head) They're going to see it all eventually so who cares how they get it.

(Okay, maybe not :) )
