Publicity stunt?

I can't help but think that along with Steve's various email responses to customers, that Steve is morphing. Into what exactly, I'm not sure, but he seems to be more interested in responding to people. Maybe that new liver has something to do with it? At any rate, it's a very calculated move. Nothing he does is without a goal in mind.

Jobs: I have to go to the bathroom. Is that alright?
Schmidt: (Frisks Jobs Crotch)
Barista: I frisked him. He's Clean.
Jobs casually walks to the restroom.

Job walks back to table and casually sits down.
(In Italian)
Schmidt: Do you feel better?
Jobs: Yes.
Schmidt: Stevey, you understand me don't you? You're italian, just like your father. You're Sick. When you feel better, we'll arrange a meeting and everything will be alright. This meanness must come to an end.
Jobs shifts his eyes around the room. Jumps up and shoots Schmidt three times.

He's very into simplicity and minimalism, just look at the way apple products are designed. I think its a conscious choice to wear a simple black turtleneck and jeans, even though he could easily afford any clothes he wanted.

I know of a famous professor in my field (Alan Heeger) who never wears anything but black at conferences. Whenever I wear a black shirt with a suit, I joke that I'm wearing my Heeger costume.

Perhaps.....

it was something like this....

ES: I am telling you Steve, if you use Bing as the default search engine it will be a HUGE mistake. Google is now, hip, and happening and we both know about the quality (both laugh) of MS products. C'mon we both know what the right choice is.

SJ: Eric, this is business. As you guys expand to other areas you are stepping on our toes. And now you ask me for a "favor"? How about a good ol fashioned "horse-trade"? We use your search engine and you drop out of the portable electronics game? Your stuff can't compete with ours anyway and it is only a matter of time. (ES looks hurt). Eric, you know me, I call it the way I see it and the situation is what it is.

ES: I'll think about it. I have to talk to our biz guys coz they are the ones who keep wanting us to expand into other areas. They are young and cocky and one guy even proposed a Google brand refrigerator coz it would be "cool". (both laugh)

SJ: What do you think of Flash???
ES: You mean here? Right now??!!
SJ: Yea

They both stand up, shed their clothes and run off wearing only their Nikes.

Being a billionaire means total freedom.......

This news item reminds me of another famous coffee scene a lot...hopefully it had a similar tone and tenor.

Other than the fact that it identifies the races of the participants, what makes it "racist?"

I think the fact that it takes place in front of a bookstore and is therefore treated as 'noteworthy'.

I also think that some people get their panties in a bunch over some pretty stupid things.

Funny, but considering the Man in Black goes around gathering information about people and promising them everything they want for free, I'm not so sure you have the roles quite right. :D

epic, inkswamp, freakin' epic. :D

Maybe Steve realizes that Apple isn't everything. Yea, people say he was bhuddist, but then people say they're christian and they aren't really.

""They're going to see it all eventually so who cares how they get it." Which seemed to be about web content, said the tipster."

How can that be interpreted about web content ?

1. Porn
2. Flash content

reminds me of the scene between Pacino and DeNiro in "Heat"... two rivals to the end.

EDIT: I see Lopes beat me to the punch.

i love Steve but he looks just awful.

And there's something about Steve jobs drinking Starbucks coffee that doesn't sit right with me. I don't really know why.
