I just posted this on my Facebook, but I'll repost here:
Crazy thing just happened. I've purchased the Steve Jobs biography in hardcover already, but I couldn't wait, so I popped into the iBookstore. Thinking it would be a waste to purchase the whole book again, I decided just to download the free sample passage. The sample is the first 41 pages. Well, I reached the 41st page and turned it. The book continued, but I no longer had page numbers at the bottom of the screen. I've gone another 30 or so pages past the first 41 pages of the free sample. Did they somehow accidentally give me the whole book for free?!
(Note: I also had the squashed text at first too, but when I changed the type to Baskerville and then back to Original, it fixed it. Also, I keep turning the pages with no end in sight so far!)
You will get to buy it at the page 112. It's not free!

I'm buying the hard cover copy tomorrow morning, but the sample on iBooks (on my iPad) says its 79 pages,
So far I'm on page 65 and it's a good read, I like it so far.
Did the book balloon or what? Originally was 674 pages, now 933 pages long!

The Steve Jobs biography is now available in the U.S. on Apple's iBooks. The book had been rolling out across the world and is now available in all regions.
The book is an authorized biography by Walter Isaacson that has received positive reviews as many facts have leaked in the days before its official release. Steve Jobs, himself, reached out to Isaacson to suggest the author write a biography on Jobs. At the time of the initial offer, Isaacson was unaware of Steve Jobs' declining health. Isaacson had asked Jobs prior to his passing why he had agreed to participate: Jobs passed away on October 5th from pancreatic cancer.
The book is also available in hard copy at Amazon.

My iBook version refuses to load any images whatsoever. No text issues though... maybe I should re-download the book?
I wish people would actually read the book before they give it a rating. While its the Autobiography of Steve Jobs, if its a poorly written book I would look elsewhere.
