R.I.P. Steve.

You and your ideas and vision will be sorely missed.

Steve

God bless you, your wife, children and family. You will be missed.

Rest in Peace

A visionary. He will be remembered in history for a long time, I feel.

I guess the only good thing is that he is no longer suffering.

Too soon, is right. RIP Steve. I still love your over priced, under featured, shiny gizmos. I hope your "vision", your baby, your company, stands strong forever.

Now his biography is going to sell even more crazy amounts.

I say this with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, and a tear in my eye. I have a great admiration for Steve Jobs and what he has done. I wish him only the best. But we will be hearing of his death in the next 2-4 weeks. Mark my words. And it will be a very sad day for all of us.

I posted this the day SJ resigned from Apple. I knew, like everyone else that it most likely had to do with health issues. I also knew that with his type of pancreatic cancer, once the doctors "lose control", it was going to be quick. I prayed that this wasn't the case, but unfortunately it was.

I have tears in my eyes as I type on my iPad 2, a device that wouldn't exist without SJ. We were living in a Steve Jobs world. One mans vision changed the way ALL of us live today. That is just hard to wrap your head around. And yes, he will go down in history as one of the greatest innovators, inventors, & visionaries of all time. We are all lucky to have been a part of his generation. The impact he had on all of us (whether you realize it or not) is truly astounding.

It might be a few years before we really feel the impact of a world without Steve Jobs. But I believe that without jobs, 10 years from we will be using devices that are 10 SJ years behind. And that sucks. It really really sucks. And I also believe Apple will take a dramatic downturn over the next decade and will no longer be the innovative leader it is today. It's horrible to even think that way, and I know Apple is a huge, global company with thousands of brilliant employees. But SJ was the leader, the puppet master if you will. Without him things will NEVER be the same. We can only hope that he has instilled his vision into the minds of his collegues in such a way that they will continue to live out his dream the way Steve saw it. If they stray from that vision, even a bit (which inevitably they will) Apple will start to blend in. And apple is not a company that does very will when they blend in. I hope this day never comes.

God rest your soul Mr. Jobs. I will miss u dearly. Thank you for making this world a more organized, fun place to live. I will cherish my 4S that up until now I was disappointed with. It took your death for me to realize just how awesome it really is. Thank you!

wow, saddest passing of my lifetime and I am the same age as Steve! Apple has a long uphill battle, come on guys don't let Steve and the rest of us down!

I am thinking about uploading a torrent with all Steve Jobs material I have collected over the years such as Apple Keynotes (all of them), speeches, NeXT presentations, promo videos etc.

The entire thing weighs in at about 40GB. Is anyone interested?

Thank you, for showing us a differnt way. May your vision continue with the great team that you've left in place. I'll do my part.

A very sad day. Thank you Steve for everything you've given us. Your idea's, inventions and dreams help change my life and millions of others for the better.

Hi All,

I am deeply gutted by this awful news - so very, very sad. He was driven by pure passion & he served humanity & changed the technology world - he was so rare, so very rare.

Bazzy.

When my wife was deployed to Iraq last year, I bought an iPhone 4 for herself and I. We used that every night to FaceTime each other. Without your invention I would never have been able to see her face for the past year and a half.

You have truly affected my life and I will miss you and your ingenious thinking.

R.I.P Steve Jobs

RIP Steve. Thank you for the joy and amazement that your products have brought me throughout the years. You will be missed by all.

Forever in the digital world....another historical moment.
