This is so sad and is part of why this country is in its current stagnation.

I agree wholeheartedly. Steve may curse, (google's mission statement is bullfeces.), but he is the CEO, and deserves a high level of respect. Similarly, I can't stand our president, but you will never hear me addressing him in any way but full respect.

Respect the office but judge each person holding that office as you would any other human. To do otherwise is to allow tyrants to reign. In other words the man at the top is no better than the guy at the bottom.

Along with the new iPhone I predict Apple will announce a newly redesigned Mac Mini. A hardware merger of the Mac Mini and a improved Apple TV.

I also believe that Steve will announce that MobileMe will be a free service with a number of improvements.

a Mac-Mini / ATV hybrid is exactly what I have been wanting...throw in a blue-ray drive and netflix and I will only need one thing under my TV for the next few years

I hope SJ's words "You won't be disappointed" and "taking it to the next level" mean that the long in the tooth Macbook AIR gets a serious update. (The previous one in 6/2009 may have been the tiniest bump that Apple's ever given anything.) I really don't care about the iToys.

how much is your bill? just wondering and is it a single iphone line or 2 iphones or a iphone and a normal phone? ive been a customer for 9 years I should these 200$ upgrades every year based on how long ive been there

I just hope the iPhone stays with at&t AND comes to Verison later on this year. But if that happens will the Verison one have there LTE technology inside or CDMA2000 thats out now? From what I understand Verison is suppose to roll out there LTE before AT&T does. And even if they do I would think that any new phone regardless of make would still have to be able to run on EGDE, 3G etc, because all of the network improvements will take time and money. Oh well. I just hope Steve does have some good cool news come WWDC.

I'm upgrading to a 32GB iPhone regardless, but what other kinds of stuff could they be planning?

how much is your bill? just wondering and is it a single iphone line or 2 iphones or a iphone and a normal phone? ive been a customer for 9 years I should these 200$ upgrades every year based on how long ive been there

ive been with att for around 10 years. its not based on your amount of time there tho if they see it they are a lot more laid back for sure. i have a iphone and two dumb phones on a family plan. since all the minutes and family plan charges ect ect are on the iphone and not the dumb phones it counts. also you need to be spending more than 100 dollars. so 30 for data 10 for a line then texting then the minutes for all phones which is 60 or 70 a month i forgot. that is more than a 100 and i get a upgrade every 12 months.

tho the weird thing is 6 months ago att sent me a text saying they activated international roaming free. i didnt ask or anything but im guessing it cause i get a new iphone every year or cause ive been with them for a long time. idk.

My friend has the motorola droid. For what its worth, its a great platform. My only gripe is the weight of the phone- it weighs a LOT! Also, Android can only keep Apple healthy by way of healthy competition, innovation, and affordability. It's a win win for all parties.

apparently a lot of people do. I do on my ipad as well and i see a lot of android users putting " sent from my (insert device name)" all the time. I guess its cool to let people know what device your rocking nothing clownish about it at all.

I leave that on my sig on my iPhone. Its nice to let people know that you were not at your computer when you sent that email.

If there was a way to have " " at the end too on the iPhone I would use it as well.

and that 229 is for the current useless ATV...if they actually a make it into what I need and want I'd play at least double

Heh, sorry, it kinda got away from me (also, where's my $9.99! ).

Short version: Google want volume (higher ad revenue), Apple want profit from the hardware. Apple innovate in consumer space, Google target feature set. Both are valid ways of doing business but not necessarily competing in the same market sectors. Apple will surely have new products / service to offer but will probably continue doing the unexpected rather than competing on features.

Plus, fanboys are annoying.

not to mention its been proved the probs with the iphone are the antenna due to comparing it to other devices on att including the ipad. hopefully the new iphone will have a better antenna like the ipad.

i doubt this very much. my iphone 3g works fine all over europe (east and west), russia. south america. the only problems i've had were in nyc and sf, romania and mexico city. thus i believe dropped calls are a problem of the network/provider, and not of the antennae.

fair enough...no i'm a grad student so through student loans, tax breaks, and my wife's career We make enough to live, thus my pay checks for being on staff at the school pay for my toys, as per agreement with my wife....and good critical reading skills on you for doing the math on my first comment

I have 550 min fam plan but i replaced the iphone with nexus 1 and i have a dumb phone i get discount on plan from 50 to 41+20 unlimited text + 30 data+ 9.99 add on phone. so i assume thats not enough to get the discount every 12 months. I have 2 other phones but on a different family plan. the total for all phones are usually 190-200 with taxes. I wish i had that yearly discount
