The point about him driving a 1997 Honda Civic and not a Mercedes SL 55 AMG to the center would be that he would want less attention.

Well, look, the poor guy (and I use that phrase advisedly) is probably in a whole lot of pain and distress as it is… why add to that by having him drive about in a '97 Honda Civic.
I mean that is just being gratuitously cruel. ;)

I say, screw all the cloak and dagger stuff. Why not enjoy the last few days?

Edit:
The person I actually do feel for is the guy snapped by the National Enquirer's paps. I mean he really does look not long for this earth… and now he'll probably get hounded by strangers because he looks similar to the terminally declining Apple CEO.
Life's a b****.

How do you know that's him in the pictures?
Please... Two sources have stated that he's been at Stanford Cancer Center. The Enquirer hasn't published ALL the pictures, they intend to do so in the next issue. You know what the next best identifier is after fingerprints? Ears. And those are Steve's ears, with his signature glasses on them. And that's his signature black sweater + Levi's jeans outfit, with his tragic skeletal frame inside. I've never seen a perfect Steve Jobs lookalike before, so what are the odds of this doppelganger showing up for the first time when he's being treated for cancer, incidentally at the same time that Jobs is taking a leave of absence to "focus on his health"?

This "can't possibly be Steve because he's walking next to a Honda Civic" stuff is "that iPhone 4 must be a fake because it has screws" all over again.

Please... Two independent sources have confirmed that he's been at Stanford Cancer Center.

Curious: who are those sources? One of them is the Enquirer, who is the other?

The only thing i can do...
I m providing here links to naturopathy links from people who survived cancer thanks to Herbs.

what about all those people who died of cancer because they relied on herbs?

I was thinking of Radaronline.com, but never mind... they're owned by American Media, Inc, as is National Enquirer.

I guess we'll know in a few days... the Enquirer also broke the story that Aretha Franklin is suffering from pancreatic cancer, it was confirmed by others later.

Sure, it's a shady source but you have to look at the type of material. When it's stuff like "OMG Tom Cruise is gay!" it's usually based on hearsay, rumors and drunken ramblings... when it's something more tangible like celebrity X checking into rehab clinic Y or cancer treatment center Z, it's usually accurate.

Ok I heard this joke on another forum and it's so wrong but I still lold.

What did one cancer cell say to the other?

Lets go get jobs.

And then one forum member said that was tasteless so the guy responded

"try to have a sense of tumor"

Omg I laughed so hard at that point.

....
now I feel bad. Hope steve gets better.

Pancreatic Cancer is a terrible, relentless disease that unfortunately needs some major research focus to develop better (actually any) detection methods and treatments. The disease took my dad from a perfectly healthy person to a former shell of himself in two months, unfortunately he died from it. The outlook here is grim, unfortunately Steve Jobs will likely succumb as 40,000 Americans/Canadians do each year, Aretha Franklin is not far behind. I really hope Steve donates some of his fortune to help solve this puzzle for the rest of us.

Mark.

Looking at the little we can see from the Obama dinner picture, Steve doesn't look "worse". He actually looks like he filled out a little.

Patrick Swayze's net worth was around $40M, whereas Jobs' net worth is $6.1 Billion.

For Job's, it's not a question of donor organ availability, it's a matter of how healthy and clean the organ is.

That doesn't necessarily take him off the hot seat- but he is a very important human being that will undoubtedly get preference treatment.

Won't believe it until I see the pictures published by the National Enquirer.

Wasn't Radar Online the same rag that said Drew Carey was going to die within a few months from pancreatic cancer, only to have Drew rebut them on Twitter a few hours later?

While you seem to live in denial and demand photos, this poor man has a very short time remaining.

The facts are, he's already living on borrowed time, because of his "money is no object" health care.

Yet they cannot keep him alive forever. It's a matter of weeks as I understand it. Sad indeed.

Love SJ or hate him... no one should have to endure this kind of stuff.
There are people who are frustrated with him, but no one really hates Steve. He's a very likable person who I once had the chance to meet in person.

Steve Jobs Does Not Drive A 1997 Honda Civic
O really? Lots of celebs drive crappy cars to go unnoticed.

We're all with you, SJ. God wants you around for the fragmented demise of Android.
I really doubt that any mythical Sky Spook has an opinion on mobile phone operating systems.

And if she existed, she'd probably be just as irritated by the IOS fragmentation.
Sounds like someone takes the Zeitgeist movie a little too seriously.
Dude....over the line.
When Steve comes back he'll crack another joke about it. Just watch.

Problem is, that photo isn't from the meet. It's rather obvious. Look at all the people.

Now. Look at the other man. Look at his name tag. You can somewhat make out "Hall of Fame". Google 'Steve Jobs Hall of Fame' and you'll find out that the man is Stan Sigman. The photo was taken at the Wireless History Foundation’s Inaugural Wireless Hall of Fame Dinner, October 2010.

And it doesn't say "look- Steve's dying" either.

Seriously?

I honestly hope that my worries are misplaced, and that Steve has many years left to enjoy with his family.

Good catch - I didn't research the name tag connection. (Obviously the gathering was larger than the dinner party, but it wouldn't be unreasonable for there to be a reception before dinner that included people who weren't part of the inner sanctum at the dinner itself.)

So, Steve didn't look so good in October, and there are no clear pictures of him from the event with President Obama....
