But you know what would be really scummy about this whole Enquirer ********? Is if these are old pictures from last year when Steve was having his liver transplant. I bet no one even bothered to question whether these pictures are new or not. Because if Steve was just spotted at Apple campus looking lively, and also speaking at the press release a few days ago, I gotta question these pictures. And obviously coming from the Enquirer, they are the definition of untrustworthy

This will hurt apple. NO ONE can replace Steve.

Not if Steve makes a very public handing-over of the company to someone he trusts – someone with the same vision as him who can demonstrate that vision while Steve is still around.

Besides ... he's not dead yet! :)

One thing for sure, I'm buying as much Apple stock as I can afford on the day SJ dies. It will probably drop 20%, only to regain it all (and then some) within a couple of months.

Thoughts are with him and his family at this time. Hope he makes a speedy recovery, but IF those photos are recent & genuine, then I fear the worst. :(

And you can tell it's a late model civic by what? Lol some people

By the tail lights?? It doesn't take any special powers to look at a car and tell which model it is. You make it sound like cars don't have any distinguishing features...

Terrible gamble. Apple's stock is SJ. Apple will never be the same without SJ and Apple will only plummet from here.

When I bought my first 500 shares the price was $18.32 per share. That was many years ago.

Today I have a massive amount, representing 27% of my portfolio. I may be very honest, vocal, and sometimes critical of Apples current business practices, but my investment is golden.

Very sad news. I wish the press would stay out of this though. It has to be pretty stressful to have this kind of attention on you all the time.

No *****. Those vultures need to leave the poor man alone.

I really hope he pulls through whatever it is. Here's to you getting better Steve!

:apple:

Here's to Steve making a speedy recovery. No one could ever possibly replace this man.

Then again, the National Enquirer is the crappiest magazine on Earth, so this whole story is probably BS.

more absolute truth form the Enquirer

From Rumorfix:
The November 22 cover of National Enquirer features a "Michael Douglas Collapses" headline. Last month the tabloid claimed the actor only had "3 Months To Live," now they're telling another elaborate tall tale regarding the actor's health.

"Gravely ill Michael Douglas collapsed at his New York apartment and was rushed to the hospital - and now the cancer stricken star is resisting the emergency surgery he needs to save his life."

A rep for Douglas tells RumorFix that the publication's story is bogus. "No, he did not collapse as reported by the National Enquirer, who were told it was untrue when they checked for verification."

First to the press: Leave Steve Jobs alone, it is his private matter and no need to publish this just to get site/advertisement hits or sales numbers of stupid papers (don't think most of the press really cares about Steve, they need hits and sales)

Second: Best wishes to Steve and get healthy soon.

For what I know in all these years he did not donate a single penny to Research. Not a Foundation. Not a Grant or a Fellowship for any kind of medical Research. He should learn something from Bill Gates.

There's no good type of cancer. It's cancer.

He means its a cancer with a exceptionally poor prognosis.

There aren't any good cancers out there no, but there are ones with good prognosis'.

He hasn't really looked very healthy for a long time..since around 2006.
