Everyone dies, even Steve Jobs. You'd be a fool to sell Apple stock when this inevitability occurs. Like selling Disney stock when Walt died. Bad move.

The stock will surely plummet as AAPL holders are notoriously reactionary to the point of insanity, but it will bounce back and continue to climb. Apple is just beginning its golden era.

Unless they hire Ballmer as their CEO, Apple will continue to thrive and innovate. Reactionary investors are poor investors.

Agreed. Thank God for fanboys and reactionary investors!

you can have all the money in the world and be a greedy ****. that still won't help you when health issues come about.

Steve and Apple make the best products the tech world has ever known. Praying for you Steve, get well sooner than later!

Regardless of what is and what isn't, I just hope he is doing the best he can, at times like this (if true) its being with family & friends that is most important.

I wish him all the best.

They were supposed to meet over a month ago...

I don't know just how frail he looks in the picture, but just him being at the Stanford Cancer Center by itself doesn't mean anything. Any patient with a difficult cancer -- even if in complete remission -- has to be at their cancer center regularly for ongoing blood tests and other testing, even if the cancer is stable.

I have a difficult long-term cancer, too, and even though my cancer is completely stable I have to be at my cancer center at least once a week for blood tests.

Btw -- I left Stanford Cancer Center in favor of another cancer center. I wasn't that impressed with Stanford, but my cancer is a totally different type (blood cancer), so they may well be world leaders at treating pancreatic cancers while just being good (but not great) for other cancer types.

The man deserves a break. He turned a company around in the last decade while he's suffered through cancer at least once and a liver transplant, which is quite admirable. This type of thing is terrible when it happens to good people. Really hope he pulls through whatever is wrong this time.

This should never have been published in the first place, and shouldn't have been republished here.

ABC, 9to5mac,macdailynews.com just posted that Steve and few other CEOs are visiting Pres. Obama tonight. So, it seems that the rumor visit may have been just a checkup. Steve Jobs is the best and he will be okay.

Investors should buy more apple stocks tomorrow in tribute to Steve jobs.

My wife is not a nurse, I didn't recently graduated from medical school but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night so my personal opinion shouldn't be taken for granted or dismissed along with all the other unqualified opinions: <INSERT UNFOUNDED DIAGNOSIS HERE>

But in all seriousness, Steve, we wish you the best.
