To be fair, you could argue since he practically *owns* the parking space, he can park there if he wants.

I think the poster meant since Jobs is CEO his "private spot" would be closer than even handicapped parking which btw he probably has a right to use since he has been undergoing treatment for a serious medical condition.

Look what I just saw in this elevator. It's Steve 2.0! he comes in 12", 15", and 17"! Unfortunately, the 12" has no firewire, and this revision is not as thin as Steve 1.1.4.

He parked his car badly on a handicapped parking spot? I hate machine translation, so that might be nothing like what the original Italian says, but this implies to me either that he's being rude or he isn't that great. And I'm not sure that a few laymen observing someone to "seem well" counts as a medical diagnosis.

Doesn't anyone speak Italian around here? I don't but I understand enough to tell you that they are using a stock photo of the Benz, and say that they don't know if Steve drove himself into work. The parked badly in the handicapped space photo is from El Jobso's healthy past. I've seen the exact photo before.

Awesome. I'm willing to bet everyone that he will make an appearance at WWDC. Won't obviously give the keynote, but it would be cool for Phil to say "One more thing..." and have Steve come out. That would be awesomeness. :D

I disagree. His medical leave has shown investors and Wall Street that the company can thrive and survive without him. AAPL has gained $40 in his absence. Were he to make an appearance and upstage the other Apple leaders, it would send the wrong message.

I'll admit that I speak the fairly similar Spanish, so I did a bit more than just read the Google translation. I'd know none of the nuances of Italian, though!

How odd. Maybe it's an on-going in-joke among employees. Apple has a fairly good diversity track record, and they'd probably be dumped on from a height if someone disabled was actually being inconvenienced. Odd example to set if it's an open car park - how might a disabled investor react if he encountered etc. Who knows :D.

Well someone did.

The big question is, why would you rate this as Negative?

Whomever did probably is of the mindset that they would rather see Steve Jobs retire so that they can possibly see their headless xMac that Jobs doesn't want to make. Or something else...

ETA: It wasn't me.

Weight?

These reports are encouraging, but I'm wondering about his weight. Everyone will base their real assessments of how Steve is doing by how much weight he's gained back once he's finally seen publicly again.

Still looking thin and gaunt = stock dives
Filled back out a bit = stock soars

I'm guessing they would react the same way one reacts when they see a disabled parking pass in a disabled parking spot.

People should understand that Steve Jobs has/had a serious physical problem that probably allows him to park there. And rightfully so.

or, maybe just this...

Steve Jobs: "Oops, I left my favorite pair of sneakers at the office. Better go pick them up."

Apple Universe: "GAAAAH!! JOBS IS BACK!!!!!11!!! OMG!!!! ONE MORE THIIIIINGG!!!"

Nope, it's correct.

Although I find it strange that he doesn't have his own private space.

This made me lol.. We've got a director where I work who's always doing something similar in their 4 wheel drive "tank" ;) I guess you own the car park they feel they can park anywhere they want... Even if they are taking the space away from a disabled employee... Oh well... Perhaps I was nieve to think Steve was any different to any other CEO or director. :(
