Good to hear. I hope it's all true and that he's on his way to a full recovery.

This is hardly the case...

I disagree. His medical leave has shown investors and Wall Street that the company can thrive and survive without him.

Actually, this has not been shown.

All investors know is that Apple has a couple of other people who can do passable keynote speeches.

Investors know that development of new tech usually takes a year or more, and they also know that Steve has been behind the scenes even during his leave.

Apple hasn't produced anything of real note during the leave, nor anything without the hand of Jobs involved.

Apple's depth of leadership won't be clear until a couple of years after Steve retires.

APPL is up over 60% since Steve announced his sabbatical. That certainly says a lot about investor and Wall Street confidence.

Of course nothing of note has been produced, as you said, it takes a year or more to develop.

No one knows how much or little Jobs involvement was during these 6 months.

I lol'ed at this. :D Could imagine him releasing a HUGE product right at the end when everyone thinks it's over.

...or comes on stage officially handing over his resignation! Seeing the shock on the faces of millions of followers would be priceless! :D

Seriously though, he really needs to get away from all this worship. It's not helping his health... Talk about pressure to perform.
