Oh my God.

My thoughts are with you and your family, Steve, in spite of the fact you're obviously sicker than you claim and you lied about it.

So him finding out it's worse than he thought is lying? I can't believe you have the gall to call him a liar when he's in his current position.

Buy Stock now, Apple stocks will drop- but when Jobs comes back to introduce a new product, it will again gain.

Well this sucks... Let's hope that Tim Cook can handle Apple's innovations in the mean time. Six months is a lot of time and if he is able to keep the ball rolling, who knows we'll already know who will replace Steve Jobs as Apple's CEO when Steve steps down for good.

Get well, Steve.

Listen to those bastards on CNBC. They're behaving as if Steve is the entire company and that he's never coming back. They're already declaring the company dead by implication. This blatant manipulation makes me SO angry. Bastards have been waiting for this story for weeks.

Wow, I never realized how sorry some of you guys are. Steve Jobs is ill yet all you guys want to think about is Apple stocks!? I forgot investors tend to be soulless.

This is a very sad day indeed. I do hope that he is okay, but I have a feeling he is much sicker then he will let on. I hope to see him give the keynote at WWDC.

My prayers are with you and your family Steve. Hoping you get better quickly!

Don

Best Wishes

I'm not a mac 'fan boy'.. in fact I'm not even an Apple Fan. My only Apple product is an iPod.

But what Steve Jobs has done with Apple is nothing short of amazing. He brings such passion to his keynotes, and to the company in general.

I truly hope Steve can get past his current illness, and comes back a stronger person for it!

Best of wishes to you and yours.

How can you be so naieve?? He hasn't shown his face in months, withdraws from the keynote, is not in the audience and one week after his initial letter "surprise" finds out that is condition is worse than he thought?

We are being lied to plain and simple. If you wish to believe otherwise, that's fine. Steve is NOT FINE and he has not been fine for a long time.

Not saying I like it or anything, just stating the obvious.

apple stocks will be ok. they'll take a hit short term but the outlook is golden. with the iphone the sky is the limit, the mac is continually gaining market share and this is not even mentioning the ipod touch.

As a human being my prayers and best wishes for Steve.

As a large individual shareholder of Apple stock - I am livid at all the double talk / corporate speak / inept handling of this issue of importance.

Two weeks ago he tells us he will be the first to tell the board when he can no longer fulfill his duties > steps down two weeks later > announces return in late June > who knows what is really happening?

I pray Steve is able to recover and return. If that is not likely, than Apple needs to select a new CEO and bring an end to this ongoing cloud of uncertainty regarding the CEO.

I pray Steve recovers....
