I really hope so. Really need an update so I can start receiving calls again..This is pretty frustrating..Yes, I know you're not supposed to use it on your main device but it's unfair to assume that everyone that wants to develop apps has the throwaway money for a second device.

How exactly is it unfair? And why does it need to be fair? This is business, not fun and games.

Hi all,

The dev center has been down for almost 72 hours now and I was thinking that maybe because of this issue we won't see beta 4 until later, not tomorrow as many expected?

Any thoughts?

Pietro

There is no set schedule for releases so even if we don't see it today it could have always been not coming out today

There's no way they will launch something exclusively for developers while the developer's site is down. It would do nothing more than cause further headache and draw more attention to the outage.

Go check your Software Update. Last week when I checked mine abut 5 minutes before release, the update screen kept checking for update and wouldn't say Up To Date. That signaled to me that they were getting ready to release the OTA updates. Today it just says Software Up To Date right away. So I'm pretty sure no beta 4 today.

It was probably a coincidence. If there's no update it will say no update obviously. It doesn't take longer to check on a day there's going to be an update. It only takes longer to check once the update is actually out.

I'm going to say "no", but not because of the Dev Center issues.

Last time around WSJ confirmed the release of B3 a few days ahead. So far, we've heard nothing about B4. It seems strange that someone would tip them on B3, but not B4. For that reason, I'm figuring the 29th.

Actually it was just a few minutes before the update was supposed to go live. No coincidence.
