Looks very nice. Macally should really take some notes from STM. This is what last year's bookstand should have been. If Marware doesn't get their act together on the Microshell Folio then I might have to get this instead.

Thanks for the pics! Look forward to getting mine, looks like there is room for a skin to be on the back.

How is the material? My main concern with this case is the wear and tear cause of the materials. It's very nice though.

USPS was faster than UPS so I now have my case though am waiting for the iPad.

I have to say, looking at it, I am concerned about how easy it will be for the iPad to snap out. It looks like there is almost no protection for it on the left-hand side to stay in place.

I also wish they had not included the little flap locking mechanism and instead used something more like the Apple case on the first iPad as when the cover is closed, even without the iPad in, the magnet locks the front of the case to the two little black tabs that keep the right side of the iPad in place.

(yes i still have the plastic wrap on, don't laugh. I'm waiting for my screen protector to arrive

Great pics. How is it when the cover is folded back? Can you secure it with the tab? Are the magnets strong enough to hold it closed (when closed, I mean) without the tab?

Also, you gotta lose the plastic cover. It will survive. I've had mine off since I got it and will put my PS AG on tomorrow. Live dangerously!

Cannot wait. USPS still says San Diego. I'm hoping tomorrow it says Chicago! How is the sleep/wake function?

I actually think these make it look better than the marketing shots did. I don't really like folio style cases in general but this one looks pretty good and I may consider it in the future.

I know I originally linked Radtech for this bag, but now that it's out, and as previously mentioned, ebags carries these as well. The reason I mention this is because ebags may be a better option for those on the fence that want to try it out. ebags offers 60 day return period and they pay for the return, just remember to keep the original packaging.

Did not notice because it does not tell you till you add it to your cart, but it's not available until 4/13.

Hopefully someone puts up a Youtube video review of the case. I may just buy it from ebags though and if I don't like I'll return it.

I really love the look of this. I'm not so crazy about the two corner pieces, though. If STM were to flatten those things out, theY would have a definite winner for me as these corner pieces have one overarching and unacceptable effect:

The cover doesn't close all the way! At least that's what the pictures seem to show. Notch out the cover flap's corners or something. Why would anybody want to buy a case that doesn't close all the way? Flatten it out, STM. Other than that, I'd be all over this one.

Thanks for the pictures. I almost clicked to buy it and would have been pretty irritated.

I know what you mean but it really isn't as bad as it looks in the close-ups. The front cover shuts with a slight magnetic click (im guessing the magnets are in the corner pieces perhaps?).

as for the ipad not being secure in place as someone wondered, it snaps in to the left hand slots and clicks, and i don't think unless you were throwing it around that it would ever fall out.

I agree that this looks like a problem (the fact that it doesn't close flat). I wonder if you could cut those corners and somehow resew the nylon. Might look like a jury rig. We'll see.

I just got my case. I think it looks great. The gap is not that bad at all. It looks really slick in this thing!

Cool. How is the material? Do you think it'll show wear quickly? How about the shutting mechanism/strap?

I'm still waiting on the marware cases (CEO & Microshell folio) but ordered this one from ebags to see it since they offer free returns.

To be honest I could do without the strap, but it does keep it very secure. IMHO I think that it will hold up pretty well. I think the black will show dust, but it should easily brush off with your hand.

The front cover rest very closely to the screen except at the corners where the is tiny gaps, but this IMHO does not affect the look.

The iPad itself feels very secure in the case. I have no worries that it is going to come out.

The only issue I can see is that if for some reason you dropped it straight down on either edge, but I cannot imagine it happening. It would have to hit perfectly on something smaller in width than the iPad for it to damage it because of the outer shell of the case.

It is very sturdy when in the typing position.

IMHO this case is the best I have seen. Mind you I have only had my hands on the Smart Cover and this. It just looks so slim and sleek in here. It really shows off the true size of the iPad 2. It is exactly what I was looking for in a case. Everyone around my office agrees with how it makes it look.

Got mine yesterday, two quick problems that I noticed today

1) Will bubble the powersupport HD for ipad 2 (got it today)
2) I have a black icarbons kit which I thought would look great with this cover but it also peeled the corners.
3) When folded into typing mode it somewhat shaky compared to the smart cover.

It is an extremely tight fit, which is good but at least let us use a screen protector. Otherwise seems very strong and well made.

So it won't fit with a screen protector?

Did you put the tab in? I think that it is more sturdy then the Smart Cover.
