Good review here on the gamut and image quality...seems to fit the bill for my needs. Haven't cancelled my order just yet.

This was disappointing. I saw some reviews for the Logitech Brio vs 24" iMac's webcam, and the 24" iMac was performing better. I don't know why the Studio Display's is performing worst than the Brio when he Brio is worse than the iMac. That would mean the Studio Display's video is worse than the 24" iMac. If this is the same lens on the iPads and iPhones, are we talking front facing lens or back lens? If it's the same as the 24" iMac, then I wonder what is resulting in this quality. Perhaps Center Stage zooming in to center faces? I wonder if Center Stage can be turned off.

This was a detailed review done by someone in regards to the iMac 24" web camera compared to the Logitech Brio 4K, and the review that made me return the item (Mac users on Amazon having problems, but also some people commenting that the Brio couldn't get true 4K). I would like to see more detailed reviews doing the same for the Studio Display, or comparing it to the 24" iMac:

At least the sound and color is accurate on the Studio Display ?

But here's the thing: Comparing the BenQ 32" SW 321C I mentioned earlier can be had for a total cost of $1999 if you buy from B&H with their tax free card. Making the comparison fair, the Studio Display with the matte nano coating, height adjustable version with tax where I live costs $2,336.44

So the BenQ is much cheaper but has internal hardware calibration, 32" size, full Adobe RGB, horizontal and vertical shade, and ability to easily rotate to vertical orientation.

I don't need the camera or speakers, but they would have been nice to have. There's almost no reason to buy the Studio Display other than the look of the stand etc. that matches the Apple ecosystem. Most people, probably myself included, would be happy with the Studio Display, even with the fact that I print a lot of photos. It's a failure when I can get a better larger display for less money.

Apparently my Studio Display is already in my country according to UPS, despite it just shipping yesterday. And Apple officially let me know that it did today.

Is yours coming from a nearby AI warehouse in your country or did it originate from China ?

Well I ordered one with delivery date of 11-25 May. Just cancelled it as I managed to get a pick up slot for one at my local Apple Store this morning!

Wow. Good call. Just booked my Regent St. pickup this morning!

My favorite Orlando Apple Store had the display with height-adjustable stand for pickup today. I snagged one. I figure they'll fix the camera issue and I am more than fine with the display otherwise.

If you purchased for in-store pickup, will they give it to you if you arrive an hour before your pickup time?

My online order with B&H showed backordered this morning; but my local Apple Store had many base Studio Displays in stock.

Of the 8 Apple Stores close by, all 8 had the base display instock. The only option that was not available for store pickup was the nano + height adjustable.

So I ordered thru the EDU pricing and got $100 off.

Picking up today at 11:30am ! :D

Picking mine up this afternoon in Edinburgh with Edu pricing and Apple Care (young very bouncy black labrador in the household!). All stock gone and delivery now 19 May - 6 June. Will use with MBP 16 Max. Will replace nice LG 38 inch curved screen as mostly using Legion 5 3070 for use with Oculus VR, and can plug into LG C9 tv if required.

Grabbing a regular one for pickup with edu discount to first use with my M1 Air and then go from there as a 2012 iMac replacement. Most powerful stuff I use it for is Lightroom so it does well but might get a Studio after seeing more reviews.

Luckily they had tilt and height adjustable models in store so I’m gonna pick one up after work.

I ordered the Height + Tilt + Nano Textured glass on March 8 as soon as ordering opened up. Also Mac Studio Ultra / 4TB. The Mac is in Louisville, KY and should be here tomorrow (Mar 29), but the studio display is still "processing."

The delivery date for the studio display is Mar 31 - April 7. Will it ship from a US address then?

Every online order I made directly from Apple has always shipped directly from China (for launch products*). I doubt they would ship it from within the USA considering that most in-store stock is unavailable except for a sporadic retail stock of the tilt-only stand.

They may or may not.

Studio Display stock is backordered currently for 8-10 weeks.

Let us know when you get a ship notice. I'm curious as well, more so if the estimate is accurate this time around due to the Covid lockdowns and not operating at max capacity at the Foxconn facilities.
