Studio Display in-store availability

Yep, that’s the ScreenBar Halo wireless controller. The wireless knob is awesome. A finger print magnet, though. I got the ScreenBar Halo just 1 week ago and now can’t live without it. I have no idea how I was able to work for so many years without a screen bar light.

I got mine too!! They look fantastic, thank you so much for the help and heads up. WAY better than the stand. The portrait mode is so awesome for long word docs / PDFs / long chats. Really liking it!

Shoot two look awesome! I am out of luck as I am using an M1 MacBook Air - so one display only! I do use the screen on the air for a second monitor!

Yes if you place the ScreenBar Halo right in the middle of the ASD. I moved it a little bit to the right and the camera works totally fine.

Damn, I *really* missed out on that tilt/height in Madison, WI. It's been almost a week with not a single VESA or Tilt/Height even showing up anywhere near where I live. Only thing that has been in stock in the radius InventoryWatch will show was Tilt + Nano for a few days which is now also gone.

It seems like there is a big lack of Display stock in store around Seattle.
Not sure if this is due to the ongoing COVID lockdowns in China or just happenstance.
Was hoping to see a wave of height-adjustable ASDs filter into stores so I could snipe one, but nothing has surfaced recently.

I don't think there's a place in the whole country that has stock of them right now. There isn't even a tilt model within 200 miles of where I live at any store.

Last night I saw another Tilt/Height at the apple store in Greensboro, NC. Longer drive but still acceptable. I again just barely missed being the one to order it.

Maybe I should just try another Best Buy. I’m indifferent between the VESA and the Tilt/Height honestly. I just can’t order one on such a long delay because I’m moving before July.

Try again the VESA Mount option with Best Buy. According to my friend at Magnolia they still have them in stock for in store pickup. But like I said, you have to go in person to the store and ask the Apple Best Buy person to order it for you. If you have more than one Best Buy store near you, try all of them. Some Best Buy employees don't know where to look when ordering for in store pickup items that are not "In Stock" status.

Actually the reason why the Apple Best Buy person may get it wrong is that they’ll try to use one of the Macs to check orderability. The only way to get it ordered is at one of the register terminals. Best bet is to go directly to the customer service line and get someone who is an expert at placing orders with the terminal. Have the Best Buy SKU of the item you want handy. There’s nothing Apple-specific to the order, the employee just needs to know how to place an order via the terminal system.

That is totally correct. It has to be done from a Best Buy terminal. I just checked a few mins ago with my friend from Magnolia and they still have plenty in stock. He also said that the scheduled date for the ASD VESA Mount to go live in Best Buy website is April 25th but that could change.

Tried two more stores, spoke to the person standing near the apple stuff that does all of their management on an iPhone both times. Both said they had none showing in their inventory system (overall, not just in the store) and none were currently on the horizon coming from apple yet at all. Pulled it up in the system so they weren’t just giving me an off the cuff answer without actually checking.

I think you got really lucky, haha.

Posted my previous message from my car right after trying for the second time. Went right back inside and asked customer service, they said they could ship for the 11th of May. So they do have some kind of stock. For anyone else who is gonna try I’d just go directly for customer service. Have the SKU ready.

That's the problem. The guy is checking in his iPhone and inventory for in store pickup is only shown in Best Buy terminals. You should try at the Best Buy Customer Service counter where you return and pickup stuff. I bet you will be able to order one.

My two orders were charged immediately. I paid one with debit card and the other with Master Card. Both transactions posted even before the ASDs were ready for pickup, like 6 o 7 days before picking them up. I placed the orders on April 9th and got them on April 19th. Shipping wasn't available for me, only In Store Pickup.
 
My experience matches @zach-coleman. The salesman first checked on his iphone (looked like a store device, not his personal phone) and said they had no stock. He then went over to the terminal to check and then said he actually did have stock and ordered it for me. I was charged immediately.

I'm currently working on a discord bot that can check for Studio Display Stock in Apple Stores. Does anyone know of an Apple Store that has any of the models in stock so I can test if it works? As of now I can't find any that have any of the models (I'm manually adding stores as I don't know how to get info from every single one of them.). It works if I switch it to run on MacBook Pros but I'd like to just make sure.

Edit: Found a Nano Texture Tilt in Philadelphia. It works.
