I'm 90% most likely to keep applecare on my iPhone 15 Pro instead and skip upgrading until they wont support it anymore.
Why you need apple support. You can use Phone the phone until it stops working. End of apple support does not mean your phone stops working. Btw It’s usually the battery which you can just replace and you buy your phone next 2+ years of life

It isn't about getting support :D It's an insurance. I have it on my 14 Pro too and will keep the warranty+insurance as long as I keep paying for it.

If i hadn't drown my 13pro in my friend's pool I wouldn't even bother buying a new one, as i always kept my iPhones as long as they support the latest iOS. But now I'm super excited and definitely jumping a size to a 17pro max.

i’ll be upgrading later this month. from a 13 mini to a 15 pro.
That would be a downgrade for me. Size is key.
I would love to upgrade to 17 mini... Unfortunately, big and heavy iPhones only.
I would have upgraded if they cared to make another mini!
I’d consider upgrading from my beloved 13 mini too. However I have no complaints about my 13 mini, wondering what feature would justify such an upgrade. I’m all in for a 17 mini with the specs of a 13 mini and better battery life.
This. I would very quickly give up my 13 Mini for a new Mini but it isn't going to happen. Phablets all the way.
The foldable iPhone is expected to be smaller than the mini. I’m not interested in a foldable: it’s still a phablet I don’t need. I need a small phone.

As soon as Apple stops support for the 13 mini without having launched a proper replacement, I’ll move to FairPhone with a device running e/OS: that’s Android without Google stuff.

I am going to get my battery changed and hope it lasts me at least 2 years, I am scared about the updates, I remember when I updated my iPhone 7 before, it was basically unusable so I don't want happen to my Mini.

A 16 mini or 17 mini would have been great, USB C, no notch and a better battery life and better cameras.

If they can make iPad mini or Mac mini then why not another iPhone mini? now people will say they are not making cause it flopped, well the Plus models were more of a failure that's why they are coming up with the "Air" model which will also be another failure cause of bad battery life.

I won't be surprised if they make a phone as big as the Ipad Mini.

If they don't want to release every year then can at least release a Mini model every 3 years.

70%? No way. I know many iphone owners and I only know of one right now that is considering upgrading to a 17. I'm sure a couple of people will that I personally know, but percentage wise it will be pretty small.

As someone currently using an iPhone 12 Pro that only needs to upgrade because my iPhone doesn't always charge when plugged in, I'll happily just take an iPhone 16 Pro for nothing.

Whatever hallucinogen they took to get to these results, they should take more, take less or hand over a part of it to me, so i can understand...

🤣

Aha, ok. But then why you need to insure your phone xD

Because of replacement costs in case of damage. There’s AC+ for theft and loss too, which I don't have, but I'm sure someone who's phone was stolen or lost before would appreciate.

I can also just call up Apple and ask them to send me a replacement any time I want (express replacement) for free as long as it’s not cracked/water damaged. I had to replace my Xs after the screen and Face ID stopped working, they said this "water resistant" phone was water damaged while it never ever came even close to any sort of moisture, it cost me 550€ at the time, one month after I bought it for roughly double than that, so I’m not taking any chances with my 14 Pro. 10€ a month is all I pay for AC+, I would rather pay AC+ than Spotify, Apple Music or Disney+, which I don't use, and I’m glad I do as I’m on my second replacement already. The first one got knocked out by my dog out of my wife’s hands in the woods and I’m happy the replacement was 60€, not 740€. I usually pass on my phone in my family, so they will get a brand new refurb. It’s a no brainer.

Like if you intend on keeping an expensive Pro phone for a long time (which isn’t really hard to do with the current Apple’s current tempo with upgraded to the iPhone), extending warranty beyond the one year is a smart thing to do.
