Jeez, who cares about any of these telecoms.

What is important is enabling more people to use an iPhone and therefore buy one. For Apple that also means selling more of their other devices and services.

The next step is to stop the requirement for a contract. Then we will see serious upgrading, price competition and better customer care.

And then the posts about which company is best will actually be useful.

I want a non-provider-locked iPhone, period. Having a CDMA iPhone is worse, as now not only your iPhone is locked into 1 provider, it's practically locked into 1 country.

SIMULTANEOUS VOICE AND DATA = NO - oh lets see, Verizon can't do that. Why would Apple build and iPhone that lacks such a highly demanded feature. T-Mobile will get the iPhone first. I am willing to bet on that.

I NEVER have a use for simultaneous voice and data. I'd trade better coverage and service for this "luxury" any day. My contract with AT&T runs out in December and I can't wait to see what happens

Im not complaining about AT&T but I think their plans are a bit of a rape to the consumer...

Sprint by far has the best data everything plan, If the phone comes to Verizon it will also come to Sprint (both use CDMA) and if thats the case Apple might as well open it up to T-Mobile.
Its like there doing things backward.

Verizon's and Sprints CDMA based networks are the same but the 4G network is not, also apple will want a contract agreement with companies and they will use others to make sure they get a premium for putting there phone on a network. Why do you think apple went to verizon and AT&T for the first iphone? They used verizon and got a much better agreement.

Just because they have the rights to offer there phone on everynetwork doesn't mean they will look at the Droid's on verizon and the EVO on sprint they do not cross platforms (besides both have heavily aligned them selves with android.)

Also theses statistics are skewed visually to make the viewer feel like there is a significant difference, disappointed in how macrumors portrays this. I still believe though that there will be a swarm of users switching as fast as possible. It won't bankrupt or even really hurt AT&T in a major way besides maybe competitive pricing for new contracts.

I love :apple: but even I don't think I would buy a iphone even if it came to verizon, Android is better for the world if you ask me Open Source all the way.

Want Sprint iPhone so bad. I know it's not too likely, at least anytime soon. Android is nice, and the iPhone isn't cool enough for me to pay out the arse for crap service. I'll keep my touch for my iOS cravings

Its time Apple gives people Choice with there products. AT&T hasnt done much to look out for the comsumer.. Not to mention the bait and switch of the iPad 3G data plan, they could have at least allowed a 5GB Cap instead of 2GB knowing that device is more consumption oriented.

There-As in "here and there."

Their (possessive) -As in this is their problem.

They're-The contraction of "They are."

I'm staying put. When tons of users leave for another network, AT&T will finally be able to handle the load due to less strain. :)
I keep seeing this statement on everything related to AT&T's "hopefuls" about freeing up network congestion. AT&T admitted that only 2% of it's smartphone users consume more than 2GB+ per month, the reason behind their data plans. So if those "power users" leave, the other 98% of data users will remain. Good luck!:p

I think it depends where you live. I live in the boonies, lousy att service up
here. Verizon is big up here, works much better.

If it hasn't been done already I'd love to see a coverage survey here. AT&T service sucks big time for me. Verizon sucked when I had it but I was living in a different area then.
