Here's what I still fail to understand. Why would I, or anybody, go into a, just for an example, a forum for cat lovers, and spend considerable time and energy arguing why dogs are better.
Like it or not Android and IOS both have influences on each other, Android has been trying to make the OS more streamlined and smooth while IOS has slowly been adding functionality. People get so defensive when somebody has an opinion that one is better then the other. I do believe Android is the better overall package atm but i do take other views into consideration. I love the quality of Apples hardware and there are certain things i like about IOS regarding how smooth it runs but MY priority is functionality and when people tell me IOS is just as functional i have to disagree, afterall its the reason i made the switch.

Also not many know or will admit to how many features iOS "borrowed" from Android. It's way more than the reverse.

Why would an outside perspective about dogs be needed in any sense for someone who likes cats?
Because cats are jerks!:p

I believe that most level-headed people will agree with this, but unfortunately we get far too many zealots who are too eager to push their own agenda. I just don't understand those who will belittle another product in an attempt to make the product they like/chose look better. And that goes both ways.

I love when they borrow/steal from each other. Doesn't matter who does it to whom, the consumer wins.
I vehemently agree!:D

the days of needing a file system on a phone to be productive are long gone.
Android people living in the past.

is it a future to have many copies from the same file depending on which app you used to open it while you cant even choose default apps you prefer?

while ios is trying to be simple, it isnt and it does it to be very complicated. or why do you think you need apps like Documents in ios? or itunes to manage some files? sharing using clouds instead of saving it to the device and choose the way to share it?

i meant that all files can be handled via some cloud or Gmail or whatever.
who cares about any file system?
i don't need my phone as a flash drive.
and i don't need Itunes to manage the phone files.
there are much simpler and lighter desktop apps that are almost like opening a window.
so what do i care?

I don't think you know what a file manager is used for based on what you wrote!

i didn't refer to any internal file manager in my reply.
i meant that i don't feel limited to use any form of file, as opposed to what mrex replied to.
he meant that you need Itunes and documents to handle all kind of files.
unless i misunderstood.

Uploading 12GB of video to the cloud and then downloading it back onto an iDevice takes a considerable amount of time. It would be much easier and far quicker if we could just drag & drop utilising the lightning cable.

Actually you can.

I'm pretty sure that the 'low' market share is due more to the price than the performance. I'm pretty sure a large percentage of Android users would take an iPhone if you gave them the choice..

Some of the replies from IPhone guys slamming android fans are utter nonsense and I can tell from personal experience on both, a couple iPhone dudes or dudettes have never fully used android other than maybe picking one up and a store for 5 minutes.
I only switched to iPhone due to a somewhat more secure environment. It has been breeched, but not near as much as android. That said, android experience, usability, functionality is hands down better for me.
What don't I like with iPhone, Picked it up on launch day September. The keyboard is pathetic and leaves my fingers sore after extended typing.
Everyone says apps are so much better. Not all - compare gas buddy on android vs apple. Sure that's one app, but it is horrible in comparison.
The screen, coming from a note4 to iPhone 6s Plus. When using the screen ,I thought my eyes were going bad. I look up and normal life is fuzzy for a few seconds. Tried my kids note5 in comparison and did not have an issue.
Notifications are ok and I do like how it tells me my commute time to work, it helps determine what route I drive, notifications do lack compared to android as far as convenience to see.
I flip phones every year and unless Apple pulls a miracle out the rear, I will go back to Sammy or maybe nexus.
What do I like about iPhone? Security as mentioned, but after 3 months use, I can just deal with not banking mobile and going back

Different strokes for different folks.
I cannot stand the screens on the Galaxy S6 or Note 5. They seem completely unnatural and the colors are inaccurate to my eyes. I used many android devices over the years and never used a keyboard half as good as the iPhone keyboard. It's deadly accurate. Using an iPhone after years of android was a breath of fresh air. I literally miss nothing about android. But again, what works for me may not work for you. That's why we have choices.

Ill agree about the screens, it is beyond me how people loose their minds over samoled screens, they are over saturated, develop burn ins, use gobs of power every time they have to display any color other than black. If Samsung ever considers abandoning that garbage samoled and go with IPS, that'll be the day i get note series.

Always see this from people that have obviously never actually owned a late model Samsung phone. There is a screen mode called "basic" that is extremely accurate. I can recall reviews saying the note 4 in this mode had the most accurate colours on the market including the iPhone at the time. Im not sure about the Note 5 v iPhone 6 plus though.

4K TV is outstanding, blue ray is excellent, DVD is good, VHS stinks. I'm only comparison these with a year on the note4 is like blue ray compared to my 3 months with 6s+ is like like dvd.
i'm probably wrong but wasn't apple considering the sammy screen at one time?

Well, my beef is with amoled screens in general. As far as amoled screens go, samoled is the best no doubt.

You do realise that you can change the saturation and getting burn in is a thing that is long in the past!
